Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of display unevenness of an electrophoresis display device and to prolong a life of the device by extending thin wall parts to almost midway between spacers from both electrodes, moderating thus precipitation of electrophoretic particles. CONSTITUTION:Plural thin wall parts 16 are extended from electrodes 14, 15 to almost midway between the electrodes 14, 15, wherein the thin wall parts are arranged at the display electrode side 14 and another electrode side 15 alternately so as to moderate the precipitation of electrophoretic particles 12. In this case, the thin wall parts 16 are shaped to thin plates with an insulating material, for example, thin films of polyamide, etc., so as not to obstruct the display. Thus, generation of display unevenness is prevented by moderating the precipitation of velocity of electrophoretic particles, and the life of the display device is prolonged.
