The poultry eggs provided by the present invention have a total cholesterol content reduced by about 20% or more compared to ordinary eggs, and HDL cholesterol and lecithin contents are increased by about 32% and 12% or more, respectively. ing. Therefore, the poultry eggs of the present invention can be used as health food or food for patients.
Or used as raw material. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for improving productivity of poultry eggs. According to the method of the present invention, it is possible to improve the egg-laying rate and the amount of eggs laid by poultry, and it is also possible to reduce the feed conversion rate.

[Prior art and its problems] Poultry eggs, especially chicken eggs, are highly nutritious and excellent protein foods, but because of their high total cholesterol content, they are not recommended as food for people suffering from or at risk of hypercholesterolemia. is not suitable. Therefore, while preserving the nutritional value of eggs, only the total cholesterol content is reduced. That was what was hoped for.

Conventionally, a method of administering other sterols similar to cholesterol to poultry is widely known as a method for reducing the total cholesterol content of poultry eggs. This takes advantage of the fact that other sterols are mistakenly incorporated into eggs instead of cholesterol. Although it is possible to obtain eggs with a low total cholesterol content by this method, it is difficult to obtain large amounts of sterols, and it is a very expensive drug, so it has not been put to practical use.

Furthermore, from the viewpoint of prevention of adult diseases and beauty, there is a desire for foods with a high content of HDL cholesterol, so-called good cholesterol, and lecithin, but hitherto no method has been known to increase the content of these components in poultry eggs.

That is, the present invention comprises poultry eggs with low total cholesterol content and high HDL cholesterol and lecithin content obtained by administering betel to egg-laying poultry, and a method for producing the same. Furthermore, the present invention comprises a method for improving the productivity of poultry eggs by administering betel to egg-laying poultry. In Chinese medicine, Du Zhong is Eucoimla ul, a tree native to China.
In the present invention, the term ``Midzhong'' refers to the dried bark of Euconium moldes (family Eucommaceae).

[Effects of the invention] Eggs obtained by administering betel to poultry have a low total cholesterol content, about 80% of the total cholesterol content of normal eggs.
It is as follows. In addition, HDL cholesterol content is 32%
As mentioned above, the lecithin content is 12% or more. Furthermore, when administered to poultry, Du Zhong can slow down the aging process.
Egg productivity can be improved. For example, if you administer Du Zhong to egg-laying hens, the egg production rate will increase by 25% or more, and the amount of eggs will decrease by 1.
The present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples and Test Examples.

During this period, egg production rate, egg production, feed conversion rate, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol level, and lecithin content of eggs were measured and recorded every week. Cholesterol values were extracted with a chloroform-methanol solution and measured using a gas chromatograph. Table 1 shows the average values from 3 to 23 weeks after administration of Tochu.

From Table 1, it is clear that in the test group, the egg production rate and egg production were higher than at the start of the test, and the feed conversion rate was low. On the other hand, in the control group, the egg production rate and egg production were low and the feed conversion rate was high. This means that in the control group, the egg production rate, egg production, and feed conversion ratio deteriorated due to aging of the chickens, whereas in the test group, aging of the chickens was prevented and further improvements were made. It means that there is.
