板金の接合方法に関するものである。
[Detailed Description of the Invention] This invention provides a method for joining end portions of sheet metal to each other.
Without using other media such as welding or gluing, unevenness or slopes are formed on each other's sides, and these are brought together in the same plane, and the resulting force deforms the convex part and bites into the concave part of the other side. The present invention relates to a method for joining sheet metals in which the joining is completed in steps.

Conventionally, when joining the ends of sheet metal within the thickness range without using any other medium, the male and female molds each having a dovetail groove shape are mainly joined, as shown in Figure 1. They are formed on corresponding sides of plates 1 and 2, and the two are combined to complete the joint as shown in Figure 2. However, in this method, after forming the joint shape, plate 1 or 2 is moved to a position where a portion of the joint overlaps. The operation to remove the plate 1 or 2 in the thickness direction
The first operation requires a stopper to stop at an accurate position, and the second operation requires upper and lower molds for fitting, which is costly. It was becoming expensive. In addition, by using this method, for example, tongue pieces protruding from both sides, which are constructed for the purpose of preventing the joined sides from shifting in the board thickness direction, are attached to the parts adjacent to the joints on both sides, so that they do not slip into the other side. It was nearly impossible to create a structure that crossed each other.

This invention was made with the aim of improving the above-mentioned drawbacks, and the joining is completed with just one action of bringing the two sides to be joined together, and the tongue pieces of both sides are placed under the other side. The present invention provides a joining method that makes it possible to form a structure in which the parts penetrate into each other and intersect with each other.

A press-formed female contactor, which is an embodiment of the present invention, will be described with reference to the drawings. When inserting a male contact into a female contact, it is fine as long as the cores are aligned correctly, but if the male contact is inserted at an angle, it may cause prying or other undesirable forces, and press-formed cylindrical female contacts are generally The joint is weak, so this part must be strengthened. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the female contactor 10 joined by the joining method according to the present invention. This female contact is made by punching and bending a conductive material using a press machine, and the joint 11 has forked protrusions 13, 13' from one side 12, and the forked protrusions 13, 13' from the other side 14. To explain this joining process in detail, as shown in FIG. 4a, there are forked protrusions 13, 13' on the joining side 12 which are deformed by external force. The projections 13, 13' have arcuate heads and a tapered shape whose width gradually becomes narrower from the base toward the head. On the other side 14, there are overhang-like recesses 15, 15' which are formed by cutting diagonally so that the corresponding bottom portions are close to each other and have a shape that approximately corresponds to the projections 13, 13'. In other words, the recess 15,
15' are provided at almost symmetrical positions on both sides of the protrusion 16. The protrusion 16 has a shape such that the width W2 at the base is smaller than the width W1 at the tip, and once the forked protrusion 13,
If 13' deforms and sinks into the recesses 15, 15', it will be difficult to separate them. Next, deformation of the forked protrusions 13, 13' will be explained. Fourth
FIG. b is a partial plan view at the time when the contact between the two joining sides 12 and 14 has started, and shows both the recessed parts 15 and 1.
The outer side surface portion of 5' is a sloped surface 17, 17', and the arcuate outer edges of the heads 18, 18' of the forked protrusions 13, 13' are in contact with this. If we continue to apply forces as indicated by arrows a and a', a force F acts perpendicularly to the tangent at the part where the two touch,
F′ occurs. Of course, F and F' are equal if the inclination angles of the slope portions 17, 17' and other conditions are equal. The forces F and F' received by the forked protrusions 13 and 13' are divided into horizontal components F 1 and F 1 ' and vertical components F 2 and F 2 '.
In other words, if you continue to apply force as shown by arrows a and a' even after contact, the heads 18 and 1 of the forked protrusions 13 and 13'
Forces F 1 and F 1 ' which are opposed to each other in the horizontal direction, that is, parallel to the axis, act on 8' to deform the protrusions 13 and 13' in the same direction. For this reason, the heads 18, 18' deform the protrusions 13, 13' while the sloped parts 17,
17' and enters the bottoms of the recesses 15, 15'. As a result, the protrusions 13, 13' are on the opposite side 14
An overhang-shaped recess 15 formed in
15' is inserted, and sides 12 and 14 are brought into a joined state. Here, the protrusions 13, 13' are the heads 18,
18' is formed in an arc shape, and the whole is formed in a tapered shape that becomes gradually narrower from the base to the head, so that the protrusions 13, 13' are connected to the recesses 15, 18'.
15', the heads 18, 18' can smoothly enter the recess along the sloped parts 17, 17', and can bend and deform the protrusions 13, 13' without strain, so that the joint is secured. can be performed reliably and stably.

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment in which a sinking tongue piece 21 is added to the above embodiment. In other words, the connections in the conventional example and the above-mentioned embodiments can withstand forces in the direction of separating the joints, but if a force in the thickness direction is applied to only one side, the meshing joints will In order to compensate for this weakness, there is a possibility that the tongues 21, 21' and tongues 21' and tongues receiving parts 22, 22' are inserted into adjacent parts on both sides. , 22' has a tongue piece 21,
21', and even if one side receives local force from the inside due to prying, etc., the sinking tongue pieces 21, 21' catch on the other side and prevent both sides from shifting in the thickness direction. It's becoming like that. 6th
The figure is a sectional view of the female contact including the slip-in tongue piece 21 and the tongue piece receiving part 22 in FIG. 5. In the upper overlap part, the left side is the slip-in tongue piece 2
1. The right side is the tongue piece receiving part 22, but the part adjacent to this cross section is provided with the opposite combination, that is, the right side is provided with the sinking tongue piece 21', and the left side is provided with the tongue piece receiving part 22'. In addition, in order to make the thickness of the above-mentioned overlapping part the same as that of other parts, the tongue pieces 21, 21' and the receiving parts 22, 2
The thickness of the plate 2' is made thinner by crushing.

The present invention is a sheet metal joining method as described above, but it is not only advantageous in terms of cost because it requires fewer steps and has a simpler mold structure than the conventional method, but also has the following advantages: As explained in the other embodiments, it is possible to use the reinforcing means, which each have a tongue piece and slip into the other side, which is a very great advantage.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments,
For example, the shape of the parts to be inserted into each other may be a combination with the sloped part on the inside and the concave part on the outside as shown in Figure 7, or a joint with the same shape as the protrusion, recess, and sloped part as shown in Figure 8. Of course, it includes all things based on the same technical idea, such as elements.
