Abstract

PURPOSE: To compensate cross modulation of acousto-optic elements and sufficiently compensate even the γ characteristics of the acousto-optic elements and the output fluctuations of light sources by detecting the beam intensities of the respective modulating light from the multifrequency driving acousto-optic elements and negatively feeding the same back to the acousto-optic element driving system.
CONSTITUTION: Carriers of frequencies f1 thru f3 from high frequency wave oscillators 1 thru 3 are AM modulated by the respective signals from an image signal generator 7 in AM modulators 4 thru 6 respectively and are mixed via AGCs 8 thru 10 respectively in a mixer 11. The signals are then applied to acousto-optic elements 12, by which the laser beam from a laser oscillator 13 is divided to plural beams and is modulated at the same time. On the acousto-optic elements 12 is reflected by a half mirror 15 and is entered respectively to beam detectors 16 thru 18, by which it is photoelectrically converted to negative electric signal. This singla is compared with the corresponding positive picture signals from the image signal generator 7 in comparator 19 thru 21 and negative feedback is applied to the AGC circuits 8 thru 10 by the output signals thereof.
