Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate ink recovery by providing upper and lower ink tanks having different functions and an intermediate valve mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A movable valve 22 is attached to the partition in an ink tank 20. In the ink supply step, a two-way valve 10 is opened so that the pressure regulated ink is injected from an ink gun 5. The ink thus injected is collected by a gutter 6 and is sucked by the pressure in a recovery chamber 25 so that it is recovered into the chmber 25. In the next ink recovering step, two-way valves 10 and 12 are closed so that the air under pressure in a supply chamber 26 is relieved through a vacuum surce 7 to effect the atmospheric condition in the chamber 26. As a result, the movable valve 22 is pushed by the weight, which is recovered in the chamber 25, so that it is moved downward to feed the recovered ink into the supply chamber 26.
