Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the plastic molded article coated with a cushion shaped spongy skin material having a surface of good touch by providing a vacuum molding function to one of split metal molds.
CONSTITUTION: Of injection molding split metal molds 3 and 4, a vacuum molding function is provided to the metal mold 4 at the side having no molten plastic injection hole 5. A spongy skin material 1 pasted at its back surface with a plastic sheet 2 which is preferably the same kind as the injection plastics 10 is vacuum molded by means of the metal mold 4, and is retained as it is on the surface of the metal mold. After mold clamping, the matrix plastics 10 are injection molded in a cavity 9 to obtain a spongy skin attached plastic injection molded article.
