Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent cut pieces form adhering to the cutter blade or to each other through hot cutting of melted resin material while blowing air to the cut portions. CONSTITUTION:Melted resin material is extruded in braided form into the air through an outflow port 2 on a heated nozzle 1 of the extruder. A wire 3 for cutting this extruded material is elastically mounted across the shaft 5 and the arm 6. With the rotation of the motor 4, the wire 3 runs across the front of the outflow port 2 to cut the melted resin material to a fixed dimensions. The shaft is made so hollow that compressed air is sent therethrough from an air connection port 8 via a rotary joint 7. Air injected from the tip of the shaft 5 blows away cut pieces adhering to the wired while cooling thereof by forming a strong air current on the cut portions. In this manner, the pieces are prevented from adhering to each other.
