Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an effective transfer of data between a memory and the data transmission/reception part, by deciding the length of data in such way so as not cause the undesired page cross. CONSTITUTION:The register 6 holds the data length information BC to the length of the data to be transferred; and the register 5 holds the address information DA concerning the head address to be given an access to a memory. Based on this address information, the quantity of data to be transferred first is calculated at the arithmetic parts 16 and 17, and the quantity of data to be transferred finally is calculated at the final data quantity arithmetic part 17. In such way, the length of data is decided so as to cause any undesired page cross in case a data is transferred between a memory and the data transmission/reception part.
