Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a pressure difference between a combustion chamber and a crank chamber and prevent lubricating oil adhered to the wall surface of a cylinder from being sucked into the combustion chamber and consumed by combustion as much as possible by a method wherein a pressure in the crank chamber is controlled at a substantially constant negative pressure. CONSTITUTION:A blow-by gas recirculation control valve 12 is provided in a blowby gas recirculating path 11 communicating the crank chamber 2 with a suction air path 8 in the downstream of a choke vlave 9. A scavenging air path 13, communicating a rocker cover l3, communicated with the crank chamber 2, with the suction air path 8 in the upstream of the choke valve 9, is provided and the one end l3' thereof is opened at a ventu ri part 8a provided in the suction air path 8. A pressure control valve 18, opening said path 13 when a pressure in a suction air manifold has been brought to a positive pressure higher than a preset value while closing said path 13 when it is brought to a pressure lower than the preset value, is attached to the scavenging air kpath 13. This pressure control valve 18 is consisting of a control valve main body 19 and a valve driving mechanism 20.
