Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the display of screen efficiently, by displaying picture as two- screen TV, through a single operation in which the playback switch of VTR is depressed while observing a broadcast with a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:A slave screen synthesis circuit 9 is switched to the state that the slave screen is not displayed normally, and the master screen video signal only from a video signal switching circuit 7 is displayed on a CRT11. On the other hand, a slave screen generating circuit 10 generates a shrinked screen video signal from the video signal being the output of a video signal switching circuit 8 and feeds it to the slave screen synthesis circuit 9 and also generates a slave screen switching signal (a) and supplies it to a logic circuit 12. A voltage of a power supply 15 is fed to another input terminal of the circuit 12, and when the switch 14 is ON, the output of the circuit 12 is fed to a circuit 9 via a logical sum circuit 16, and the circuit 9 is switched to the state of slave screen picturing. Thus, the master screen of the output of the circuit 7 and the video signal of the slave screen of the circuit 10 are synthesized and the result is displayed on a CRT11. Thus, the display of screen can efficiently be made.
