Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform a high-precise photometeric analysis corresponding to a wide-ranged change in a quantity of light, by a method wherein some types of accumulating times are set against a self-running type light detector, for use with a multiwavelength spectrophotometer, and are selected curresponding to an output. CONSTITUTION:Against a self-running light detector in which a large number of light-receiving elements, for use with a multiwavelength spectrophotometer, are aligned, a first accumulating time is set so that the output of the element, among the elements, indicating a maximum output value, becomes below a saturation value. Second and third accumulating times, being longer than the first accumulating time, are set, and in case the output of the measurement is low, it is caused to be rescanned for a long accumulating time. If, for example, a wavelength-transmittance curve, which is obtained through the scanning performed for the first accumulating time is shown by a line 28, and in case the accumulating time is extended by 2.5 times or 10 times, measurements are obtained so that a line 29 and a line 30 become a saturation value, and a measurement precision of a part, where a transmitivity is small, can be improved. A change in the accumulating time or the like can be simply produced by means of an electronic circuit.
