Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain high-speed signal propagation by dividing a bus which connects numbers of blocks over a long distance, and thus dividing a load capacitance. CONSTITUTION:To transmit and receive a signal to and from a block 3, two- way bus drivers 22 and 24, or 23 and 25 need be made active at once. In this case, loads on a bus 10 are a C1, a C2 and a C3 in total, and those capacitances need be driven. To transmit and receive a signal to and from a block 2, the two- way bus drivers 22 and 23 are activated while the drivers 24 and 25 are made inactive, and the block 3 and the load capacitance C3 of the bus are disconnected. Therefore, bus loads which need be driven are the C1 and C2. For a block 1, the bus drivers 22 and 23, and 24 and 25 are made inactive, and the load capacitances C2 and C3 are disconnected to leave only the capacitance C1 to be driven.
