Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize the loss of the intake energy by arranging the intake operation shut-off device which is controlled by the detection signal from a thread breakage detector provided in the opening part of an intake pipe or in an intake passage. CONSTITUTION:The open/close device 15 in which an intake passage is opened and closed by the operation of movable pieces 17 and 18 through the action of an electromagnetic valve 16 is provided on the intake pipe 9 installed in each taking-up unit, and the electromagnetic valve 16 is controlled by the detection signal from the thread breakage detector 10 not shown in the figure. The movable piece 17 is positioned on the static piece 18 side and the intake pipe 9 is collapsed to close the intake passage during the normal operation free from thread breakage. When the thread breakage detector detects a thread breakage, and signal is applied into the open/close device 15, an electromagnetic solenoid 16 is deenergized, and the movable piece 17 is moved upwardly to open the intake passage 19, and the edge 3 of the broken thread is held in the attracted state to an intake port 8. Thus, the intake port is opened only in the case of thread breakage, and the intake energy loss is reduced.
