Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of picture qualities at matrix panels, by using signals of 2H period for driving X electrode line and operatng two X electrode lines adjoing to each other within 1H period. CONSTITUTION:A matrix panel is formed by installing nemerous switching transistors 1 and storing condensers 2 to form a matrix for every picture element. Moreove, in a shift register 8, horizontal synchronizing signals are used as a clock signal, and pulses of 2H period are used as a signal which starts the shift register, and then, the signal which drives X electrode lines is formed by using vertical pulses as a signal which resets the shift register. In this way,. the time which is required for selecting one X electrode line, is 2H period, and adjoining X electrode lines will operate within a period of 1H. As the result, the deterioration of picture qualities caused by the resistance and capacity of the X electrode line is prevented.
