Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the temperature of a prescribed zone uniformly at a prescribed level and prevent the bending of the material to be treated due to thermal strain, by enabling the forced circulation of furnace gas in the longitudinal direction of the furnace in the prescribed zone of the loading side of the material to be treated. CONSTITUTION:The long material to be treated W passes through a preheating zone 2 provided with hot air circulation equipment 11, a heating zone 3 and a uniform temperature zone 5, and then is drawn out of the furnace. Meanwhile the exhaust gas from the heating zone 3 and the uniform temperature zone 5 mentioned above is exhausted into an exhaust gas duct 10. The above-mentioned hot air circulation equipment 11 which is composed of a jet nozzle 12, circulation fan 15 and burner 16 circulates forcibly the furnace exhaust gas and the burned gas due to the burner 16 in the furnace longitudinal direction, heating the material W to a uniform temperature of 600-700 deg.C.
