Abstract

PURPOSE: To construct a levee gate capable of automatically, exactly, and rapidly intermittent irrigating performance only at an upper or lower water level previously set of water to be controlled by providing a balancing weight.
CONSTITUTION: A gate chamber 1 is formed in a water supply pathway 2, and a gate 5 by which the water supply pathway 2 is opened or closed by rotation around a rotary shaft 6 is provided in the gate chamber 1. When the gate 5 is in horizontal state, a balancing weight 7 vertical to the horizon is fixed to the rotary shaft 5, and a float 10 floating on water to be controlled is connected with the rotary shaft 6 through an arm 11 with a fixed angle to the balancing weight 7. Since a levee gate has such a constitution, the opening or closing of the levee gates performed by the displacement of the float 10 and the balancing weight 7, provided to the rotary shaft 6.
