Abstract

PURPOSE: To assemble an endless belt easily and with a high reliability simply by engaging a plurality or metal blocks with a metal band from the side end thereof through slits thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Metal blocks 1 are formed at a specified thickness with a trapezoidal shaped front in which inclined contact surfaces 3 are formed on both side ends thereof to be in contact with a contact surface 3 of a pulley. Slits 6 are opened on one side end thereof with such a straight shape as to separately cross the inclined contact surface at equal angle respectively. On the other hand, a metal band 20 is formed in a flat belt with a thickness equal to or a little less than the width of the slits 6 of the metal block 1. The metal blocks 1 thus formed are arranged side by side thickness-wise in a plural number and joined continuously by inserting into slits 6 through the metal band 20 which is endlessly formed to complete a required endless belt.
