All the materials, time, and labor were wasted because of the construction work.

。Before touching on the content of the invention, we will discuss the background behind the need for re-construction. The tooling material filled in the joints plays a waterproof and windproof role due to its elasticity and adhesive properties. However, everything expands and contracts depending on the temperature and distorts when photographed, so the sealant must also expand and contract accordingly. However, tooling materials such as silicone-based, polysulfide-based, and urethane threads are no longer attached to the elasticity of the surrounding building blocks, and in the earliest cases, new materials were used.
After ~3 years, peeling occurs and the waterproof ability is lost. Therefore, re-construction is required, but despite the various efforts being made in the industry, the current situation is that we lack a decisive factor and repeat inconvenient construction.

Four bond breakers are placed on top of the old tooling material 3 which is adhered to the receptacle 1 and is filled loosely into the back-up material 2. So, avoid the three-sided adhesive and apply the new sealant 5 in an arc shape. The fact that the old sealant 3 has a concave shape is just a conventional practice that was thought to be good for appearance.

First, a line is drawn parallel to the joint on both sides to determine the width to which the new sealant 5 is to be bonded, and masking tape is pasted on both outsides in contact with the line.

This is a guideline when applying the new sealant 5 and smoothing it with a spatula while it is still soft (within 2 hours) to shape it into an arc shape. Glue the tape to guide this spatula on one side, but if you want to increase stability, glue it on both sides. This spatula is used to prepare the arc shape of the new sealant 5, so please attach the tape to the spatula in advance. Make 9 cuts so that the tip forms an arc shape. After the arc shape is created with a spatula, remove the tape and once the sealant has hardened, re-application is complete.

Another idea seems to be to make this part into an angular plate shape, but that would not be durable as the corners would easily get damaged and weather easily. Arc-shaped construction is easy. The old sealant 3 covered by this is prevented from weathering and is maintained semi-permanently as it was when it was first applied without being cut out. On the other hand, new sealant 5 has been added due to re-construction.
The flexibility of its curved surface allows it to withstand expansion and contraction and weathering. Even when re-installation is required after the durability period has elapsed, time and labor can be saved because the work is simply scraping off a flat surface and arranging it. When we consider that this simplification of work will have an impact on high-rise buildings with wide walls, and buildings that are increasing in number, the magnitude of the effect is immeasurable.
