Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the capacity and quality of artificial organs, by passing a liquid through the artificial organs using a liquid passing device having flowmeters arranged in a pipeline in series and making the flow rates of the liquids having predetermined temp. near to the steam sterilizing temp. of the artificial organs and passing said organs the same. CONSTITUTION:Valves 10, 14-1-14-n are opened and a sterilized liquid having predetermined temp. near to the steam sterilizing temp. of the artificial organs 2-1-2-n in a sterilized liquid storage tank 6 and the flow rates of the artificial organs 2 are detected by rotor meters 15-1-15-n and controlled by using the valves 14-1-14-n as flow control devices to make the flow rates to the artificial organs 2-1-2-n the same. At this time, the artificial organs 2-1-2-n almost coincide in the rising in temp. by this operation and the finish of the rising in temp. is detected by a thermometer 13 and, after the rising in the temp. of an autoclave 1 is finished, sterilization is performed for 20min being the predetermined time set as a high pressure steam sterilizing condition at 121 deg.C. A cooling medium is allowed to flow to a cooling apparatus 7 until a predetermined time is elapsed and sterilization is finished to bring the cooling apparatus to a state capable of functioning as a cooler and the interior of each of the artificial organs is rapidly lowered to 40 deg.C or less.
