Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to utilize wind energy more effectively in a wind power generation facility equipped with a multiple blade type propeller by drive-controlling a mast top thereof to correctly face an optimum wind direction detected at specified time intervals. CONSTITUTION:A mast top 6 is constituted to be turned in all directions of 360 deg. in a horizontal plane with a multi-blade horizontal type wind propeller having rotating blades and to be freely rotated with a motor-operated roll mechanism 7. The motor-operated roll mechanism 7 compares an electrical signal from a separately arranged wind direction/velocity meter 1 with a reference value based on the direction of the mast top 6 at that time and controls according to the result of the comparison by means of a control board accommodated in a control board room 10. This makes it possible to utilize the wind energy effectively by making the mast top 6 correctly face the wind direction at all times by a certain angle at specified time intervals.
