Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably hold a Bloch line pair by disposing the fine wise groups of a magnetic member for holding the position of the Bloch line pair on a transfer path in a groove. CONSTITUTION:A stripe domain 4 is disposed in a ferromagnetic film 6 on a GGG substrate 9 so as to include the groove 3 of the same depth as its film thickness therein. Information is stored as the presence or absence of the Bloch line pair on a stripe magnetic domain wall 5. The hard magnetic fine wire groups 1 are parallel to the face of the film, vertical to the stripe magnetic domain wall 5 and mutually disposed in parallel therewith and magnetized in a direction for travelling the stripe magnetic domain wall 5. Accordingly, when a magnetic field from a magnetic charge generated in the end part of the fine wire groups 1 is averaged, the component of the direction of the film thickness is not provided but only an in-plane component is provided. Thereby, the Bloch line pair can be effectively held.
