This led to advances in miniaturization and weight reduction, but none of them were airtight. However, as storage batteries have come to be widely used as power sources and power sources for electronics such as video cameras, they have become completely sealed to prevent the electrolyte from leaking out while being carried around.

However, since the use of plastic containers cannot be avoided in order to reduce size and weight, a decrease in water content due to the inherent moisture permeability of plastic materials is also unavoidable. In a lead-acid battery, a decrease in moisture has undesirable consequences such as decreasing the capacity of the battery and shortening its life, so it is necessary to minimize the decrease in moisture as much as possible.

This method is characterized by the use of a battery case that is injection molded using a molding material in which a three-component resin (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) is filled with mica.

型鉛蓄電池にすることが出来る。Function: ABS resin has good impact resistance, so it can be made thin, and it also has good adhesion processability, so it is suitable for sealed lead-acid battery containers. The disadvantage is that it decreases quickly. However, since mica is scaly, when it is filled into a resin and injection molded, the mold surface and the mica surface are arranged parallel to each other in the resin and molded. Since mica has no water permeability, water molecules that try to pass through the resin perpendicular to the wall surface forming the battery case are prevented from going straight by the mica and take a detour. Therefore, the passage path of water molecules becomes longer, which has the same effect as increasing the wall thickness, and reduces water permeability. That is, it is possible to obtain a sealed lead-acid battery having a much lower water permeability than a storage battery using a single ABS resin case with the same wall thickness.

である。Effects of the Invention As mentioned above, the present invention uses a battery case made by injection molding ABS resin filled with scale-like mica that is not water-permeable, and the scale-like surfaces are arranged parallel to the wall surface, so that it is not airtight. This type of lead-acid battery has extremely great industrial value, such as less water content in the electrolyte in the battery, preventing a decrease in battery capacity, and prolonging the service life.
