Claims (10)
- 반복사이클을 제공하는 소정의 기본주파수의 AC 전원(26)으로부터 부하(30)에 AC 라인 전류를 공급하는 전기회로(20)의 아크검출장치(64)에 있어서, 상기 장치는, 상기 AC 라인 전류를 감지하여, 감지된 AC 전류신호를 발생하는 수단(170)을 포함하는 감지수단(170, 182)과; 상기 감지된 AC 전류신호로부터 소정의 기본주파수를 가지며, 그것의 조화 성분은 제거된 여과 신호를 발생시키는 수단(72)과; 상기 여과 신호로부터, 그로부터 유도되는 누적신호를 발생하고, 상기 AC 전류의 선택된 사이클 수에 대해 상기 여과 신호로부터 위상 및 크기 정보를 유지하는 수단(94), 및 아크를 나타내는 상기 누적신호의 선택된 상태에 응답하여 출력신호를 발생시키는 상태 점검 수단(116)을 포함하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 여과 신호를 발생하는 수단(72)은, 상기 감지된 AC 전류신호의 상응하는 포인트에서 감지된 AC 전류신호의 크기 사이의 차동신호를 발생시키는 조화 노치 필터를 포함하고, 상기 누적신호를 발생시키는 수단(94)은, 상기 AC 전류의 선택된 사이클 수에 상응하는 포인트에서 상기 차동신호의 절대값의 합으로서 누적신호를 발생하는 동기 합산기를 포함하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 누적신호를 반복적으로 발생하는 수단(94)은, 상기 AC 전류 신호의 연속 섹션에 대해 상기 누적신호를 발생시키고, 섹션의 각각이 상기 AC 전류의 선택된 사이클 수를 포함하며, 상기 상태 점검기(116)는, 이 상태 점검수단 (116)이 상기 AC 전류 신호의 소정 수의 연속 섹션으로부터 소정수의 섹션에 대해 상기 선택된 상태를 검출할 때에만 상기 출력신호를 기동시키는 섹션 점검기 수단 (140)을 추가로 포함하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 누적신호를 반복적으로 발생하는 수단(94)은, 상기 AC 전류 신호의 연속섹션에 대해 상기 누적신호를 발생시키고, 각각의 섹션을 포함하는 상기 선택된 사이클 수는 상기 AC 전류의 5개 사이클이며, 상기 섹션 점검 수단(140)은, 상기 상태 점검기가 상기 AC 전류 신호의 11개 연속 섹션인 상기 소정수의 연속섹션중 3개 이상인 섹션에 대해 상기 선택된 상태를 검출할 때에만 상기 출력신호를 기동시키는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 상태 점검 수단(116)은, 소정 비율의 임계값을 초과하는 상기 누적신호의 피크대 평균비의 검출과, 소정 평균임계값을 초과하는 상기 누적신호의 평균값의 검출과 각각의 콰이어트 존을 통해서 상기 누적신호가 소정의 전류 활동 임계값 이상으로 올라가지 않는 사이클 부분이며, 적어도 최소기간동안 유지되는, 상기 누적신호에서 사이클당 2개 이상의 콰이어트 존의 검출과, 소정의 콰이어트 존 상한시한보다 길게 유지되는 상기 누적신호의 콰이어트 존이 없다는 검출과, 소정의 널(null) 상한시한보다 길지 않은 널을 지닌 상기 누적신호의 검출과, 상기 상태의 결합을 포함하는 상태의 군으로부터 선택된 상태에 응답하여 상기 출력신호를 발생하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 상태 점검 수단(116)은, 적어도 약 4 이상의 상기 누적신호의 피크대 평균비의 검출과, 적어도 약 0.4 암페어 이상의 상기 누적신호 평균값의 검출과, 상기 누적신호에서 사이클당 2개 이상의 각각의 콰이어트 존이 적어도 약 1.5밀리초의 기간동안 유지되는 콰이어트 존의 검출과, 약 9 밀리초 이상으로 존재하는 콰이어트 존이 없다는 검출과, 상기 누적신호에서 1.24 밀리초 보다 길게 유지되는 널이 없다는 검출을 포함하는 각각의 상태에 응답하여 상기 출력신호를 발생하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 감지수단(170, 182)은, AC 전원에 의해 제고된 AC 전압에 응답하는 AC 전압감지수단(182)과, 전압 감지수단(182)에 응답하고, 상기 전압의 소정 상태에 응답하여 출력신호를 무력화하는 무력화 수단 (146~154)을 포함하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 무력화 수단(146~154)은, 상기 AC 전압의 해당 포인트에서 AC 전압 크기 사이의 차동신호를 발생시키는 조화 노치 필터(146), 선택된 수의 사이클에 대해 상기 차동신호의 절대값의 합으로서 누적전압신호를 발생시키는 합산기(148), 및 상기 누적 전압 신호가 소정의 누적 전압 임계값을 초과할 때 상기 출력신호를 무력화하는 무력화 신호를 발생시키는 수단(150~154)을 포함하는 아크검출장치(64).
- 반복사이클을 제공하는 소정 주파수의 AC 전원(26)으로부터 부하(30)에 AC 라인 전류를 공급하는 전기회로(20)의 아크검출 방법에 있어서, AC 전류를 감지하여 감지된 전류신호를 발생하는 단계와; AC 전류의 상기 사이클의 해당 위상에서 감지된 전류신호 사이의 차이와 동일한 차동신호를 발생하는 단계와; 선택된 수의 사이클에 걸쳐 차동신호의 절대값을 누적시켜 누적차동신호를 발생하는 단계와; 소정 비율의 임계값을 초과하는 상기 누적 차동 신호의 피크대 평균비와, 소정의 평균 임계값을 초과하는 상기 누적 차동 신호의 평균값과, 각각의 콰이어트 존이 상기 누적 차동신호가 사실상 소정의 전류 활동 임계값 이상으로 올라가지 않는 사이클의 일부분이고, 소정의 콰이어트 존 상한보다 길게 유지되는, 상기 누적 차동 신호에서 2개 이상의 콰이어트 존과, 상기 누적 차동 신호에서 소정의 콰이어트 존 상한보다 길게 유지되는 콰이어트 존이 없다는 것과, 소정의 널 시간 상한시한 보다 길지 않은 널을 가진 상기 누적 차동 신호와, 상기 상태들의 결합을 포함하는 상태의 군으로부터 선택된 상기 누적 차동 신호의 상태에 응답하여 아크 표시 신호를 발생하는 단계를 포함하는 전기회로(20)의 아크검출방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 누적 차동 신호는 AC 전류의 선택된 수의 사이클을 포함하는 AC 라인 전류의 섹션에 대해 누적되고, 상기 아크검출신호는, 상기 상태가 소정수의 섹션중 상기 AC 전류의 소정 수의 섹션에 대해 검출될 때에만 기동되는 아크검출방법.
