Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- (i) 탄화규소 분말, 탄화규소 분말의 중량을 기준으로 예비세라믹 유기 폴리실옥산 0.1 내지 50중량%(여기서, 예비세라믹 유기폴리실옥산은 1800℃에서, 탄화물과 탄화규소 분말의 중량을 기준으로 유리 탄소 0.1 내지 10중량%를 함유하는 탄화물로 소결된다), 및 탄화물과 탄화규소 분말의 중량을 기준으로 금속-함유 소결 보조제 0.1 내지 3중량%를 포함하고, 유기폴리실옥산을 경화시키기에 유효한 양의 유기폴리실옥산 경화제를 함유하거나 함유하지 않는 혼합물(단, 예비 세라믹 유기폴리실옥산으로부터 유도된 유리 탄소의 양 또는 금속-함유 소결 보조제의 양 또는 이들 둘 다는 0.1중량% 미만이다)을 형성시키는 단계;(ii) 혼합물을 조형물로 성형시키는 단계 : 및(iii) 조형물을 불활성 대기중 1600 내지 2200℃의 온도에서 소결시켜 밀도가 2.4g/㎤ 미만이고 개방 다공도(open porosity)가 25%를 초과하는 다공질 탄화규소체(a porous silicon carbide body)를 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 다공질 탄화규소체의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 예비세라믹 유기폴리실옥산이 [RSiO1.5], [R2SiO], [R3SiO0.5] 및 [SiO2] 단위(여기서, R은 각각 독립적으로 수소, 탄소수 1 내지 20의 알킬 라디칼, 페닐 라디칼 및 비닐 라디칼로부터 선택된다)로부터 선택된 단위를 함유하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기폴리실옥산이 1800℃의 온도에서 열분해될 때 약 40중량%를 초과하는 탄화물 수율을 갖는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 탄화규소 분말의 입자 크기가 10㎛ 이하이고 이 분말을 알파, 베타 및 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 조형물을 질소-함유 대기에서 소결시키는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 존재하는 경우, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 예비 세라믹 유기폴리실옥산의 중량을 기준으로 0.1 내지 5.0중량%로 존재하는 유기 퍼옥사이드인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 존재하는 경우, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 예비 세라믹 유기폴리실옥산의 중량을 기준으로 1.0 내지 1000ppm의 Pt가 존재하는 백금-함유 촉매인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 존재하는 경우, 유기폴리실옥산 경화제가 다작용성 유기규소 화합물을 포함하고 예비세라믹 유기폴리실옥산의 중량을 기준으로 0.1 내지 5중량%의 양으로 포함되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 소결 보조제가 붕소, 붕소-함유 화합물 알루미늄 및 알루미늄-함유 화합물로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 혼합물이 윤활제, 해교제 및 분산제로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 물질을 추가로 함유하는 방법.
- 밀도가 2.4g/㎤ 미만이고, 개방 다공도가 25%를 초과하며 3점 굴곡 강도가 172.4MPa(25ksi)를 초과하는 탄화규소를 포함하는 다공체(a porous body).
