Claims (30)
- GAN(generic access network)을 포함하는 네트워크 환경에 배치된 사용자 설비(UE; user equipment) 장치에 의해 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC)를 선택하는 방법에 있어서,상기 GAN으로 전송하기 위해 상기 UE 장치에 의해 전체 주소 도메인 이름(Fully Qualified Domain Name; FQDN)을 생성하는 단계;상기 FQDN의 전송에 응답하여, 상기 GAN으로부터 하나 이상의 인터넷 프로토콜(IP) 어드레스를 획득하는 단계로서, 각각의 IP 어드레스는 공중 육상 이동 통신망(PLMN; Public Land Mobile Network)에 동작 가능하게 연결된 GANC 노드에 대응하는 것인, IP 어드레스 획득 단계;상기 GAN을 통해서, 동작 가능하게 연결된 PLMN로의 액세스 서비스를 획득하도록 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대해 상기 UE 장치에 의해 인증하는 단계를 포함하는 것인, GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 PLMN은, 범용 패킷 무선 서비스(GPRS; General Packet Radio Service) 네트워크, EDGE(Enhanced Date Rates for Global System for Mobile Communications(GSM) Evolution) 네트워크, 3세대 파트너십 프로젝트(3GPP) 호환 네트워크, 통합 디지털 개선 네트워크(IDEN:Integrated Digital Enhanced Network), 코드 분할 다중 접속(CDMA:Code Division Multiple Access) 네트워크, 범용 이동 통신 시스템(UMTS:Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) 네트워크, 및 범용 지상 무선 액세스 네트워크(UTRAN:Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network) 중 하나를 포함하는 것인, GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드는, IEEE 802.11b 표준(2400MHz 내지 2500MHz), IEEE 802.11a 표준(5000MHz 내지 6000MHz), IEEE 802.11g 표준(2400MHz 내지 2500MHz), 하이퍼랜(HiperLan) 표준(5000MHz 내지 6000MHz), 하이퍼랜 II 표준(5000MHz 내지 6000MHz), Wi-Max 표준(2300MHz 내지 2400MHz, 2500MHz 내지 2600MHz, 3300MHz 내지 3400MHz, 또는 3400MHz 내지 3900MHz), 오픈에어(OpenAir) 표준(2400MHz 내지 2500MHz), 및 블루투스(Bluetooth) 표준(2400MHz 내지 2500MHz) 중 적어도 하나로부터 선택된 무선 근거리 통신망(WLAN; Wireless Local Area Network) 표준에 따른 주파수 대역에서 동작 가능한 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치는 루트(Root) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI; Network Access Identifier)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치는 대체(Alternative) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치는 수식(Decorated) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN은 확장 가능한 인증 프로토콜(EAP; Extensible Authentication Protocol) 인증 처리 과정을 통해서 획득된 PLMN들의 리스트를 사용하여 상기 UE 장치에 의해 구성되는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN은 셀룰러 대역 스캐닝(cellular band scanning) 처리 과정을 통해서 탐색된 PLMN들의 리스트를 사용하여 상기 UE 장치에 의해 구성되는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN은 사람이 판독가능한 범용 TCP/IP 어드레스 포맷을 사용하여 상기 UE 장치에 의해 구성되는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN은 홈(home) GANC 노드에 대응하는 TCP/IP 어드레스를 사용하여 상기 UE 장치에 의해 구성되는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드는 상기 GAN에 연결된 단일의 물리적 GANC 상의 가상 파티션(partition)으로서 작용하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 방법.
- GAN(generic access network)을 포함하는 네트워크 환경에 배치된 사용자 설비(UE) 장치에 의해 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC)를 선택하는 시스템에 있어서,상기 UE 장치와 연관되며, 상기 GAN에 전송하기 위해 상기 UE 장치에 의해 전체 주소 도메인 이름(FQDN)을 생성하는 수단;상기 GAN에서 수신된 상기 FQDN에 응답하여 동작하며, 상기 GAN에 의해 지원되는 하나 이상의 인터넷 프로토콜(IP) 어드레스를 제공하는 수단으로서, 각각의 IP 어드레스는 공중 육상 이동 통신망(PLMN)에 동작 가능하게 연결된 GANC 노드에 대응하는 것인, 상기 제공 수단;상기 UE 장치와 연관되며, 상기 GAN을 통해서, 동작 가능하게 연결된 PLMN로의 액세스 서비스를 획득하도록 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대해 인증하는 수단을 포함하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 PLMN은, GPRS 네트워크, EDGE 네트워크, 3GPP 호환 네트워크, IDEN, CDMA 네트워크, UMTS 네트워크, 및 UTRAN 중 하나를 포함하는 것인, GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.

- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치와 연관된 인증 수단은, 수식(Decorated) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하도록 동작 가능한 수단을 포함하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치와 연관된 생성 수단은, 확장 가능한 인증 프로토콜(EAP) 인증 처리 과정을 통해서 획득된 PLMN들의 리스트에 기초하여 상기 FQDN을 구성하는 수단을 포함하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치와 연관된 생성 수단은, 셀룰러 대역 스캐닝 처리 과정을 통해서 탐색된 PLMN들의 리스트에 기초하여 상기 FQDN을 구성하는 수단을 포함하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.

- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 UE 장치와 연관된 생성 수단은, 홈(home) GANC 노드에 대응하는 TCP/IP 어드레스에 기초하여 상기 FQDN을 구성하는 수단을 포함하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드는 상기 GAN에 연결된 단일의 물리적 GANC 상의 가상 파티션으로서 작용하는 것인 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC) 선택 시스템.
- GAN을 포함하는 네트워크 환경에 배치된 GAN 컨트롤러(GANC)를 선택하도록 동작 가능한 사용자 설비(UE) 장치에 있어서,상기 UE 장치에 의해 상기 GAN에 전송하기 위한 전체 주소 도메인 이름(FQDN)을 생성하도록 동작 가능한 논리 모듈; 및상기 GAN으로부터 획득된 하나 이상의 인터넷 프로토콜(IP) 어드레스에 응답하여, 상기 GAN을 통해서, 동작 가능하게 연결된 PLMN로의 액세스 서비스를 획득하기 위해 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대해 인증하도록 동작 가능한 논리 모듈로서, 각각의 IP 어드레스는 공중 육상 이동 통신망(PLMN)에 동작 가능하게 연결된 GANC 노드에 대응하는 것인 상기 인증용 논리 모듈을 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 인증용 논리 모듈은 루트(Root) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하도록 동작 가능한 논리를 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 인증용 논리 모듈은 대체(Alternative) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하도록 동작 가능한 논리를 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 인증용 논리 모듈은 수식(Decorated) 네트워크 액세스 식별자(NAI)를 사용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 GANC 노드에 대하여 인증하도록 동작 가능한 논리를 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN을 생성하도록 동작 가능한 논리 모듈은 확장 가능한 인증 프로토콜(EAP) 인증 처리 과정을 통해서 획득된 PLMN들의 리스트에 기초하여 상기 FQDN을 구성하는 논리를 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 FQDN을 생성하도록 동작 가능한 논리 모듈은 셀룰러 대역 스캐닝 처리 과정을 통해서 탐색된 PLMN들의 리스트에 기초하여 상기 FQDN을 구성하는 논리를 포함하는 것인 사용자 설비(UE) 장치.
