Claims (16)
- LDPC(Low Density Parity Check) 코드에 의해 부호화를 수행하는 통신 시스템에 있어서,패리티 검사 행렬(parity check matrix)을 이용하여 소스 데이터를 크기가 'n' 비트인 코드워드로 부호화하는 단계; 및상기 코드워드의 크기를, 전송 가능한 데이터 크기가 't' 비트인 전송채널에 정합되도록, 조정하는 단계를 포함하되, 상기 조정 단계는,'n'이 't'보다 작은 경우에는 상기 코드워드 중, 상기 패리티 검사 행렬에서 열의 무게가 가장 큰 (t-n)개의 열에 대응하는, (t-n)개 비트를 반복함으로써 상기 코드워드의 크기를 조정하고,'n'이 't'보다 큰 경우에는 상기 코드워드 중, 상기 패리티 검사 행렬에서 열의 무게가 가장 작은 (n-t)개의 열에 대응하는, (n-t)개 비트를 펑처링함으로써 상기 코드워드의 크기를 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코드워드 크기 정합 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 코드워드 중 시스템 비트들(systematic bits)에 대해서 우선적으로 반복을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코드워드 크기 정합 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,반복되는 비트들은 상기 코드워드의 후미에 추가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코드워드 크기 정합 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 코드워드 중 패리티 비트들(parity bits)에 대해서 우선적으로 펑쳐링을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코드워드 크기 정합 방법.
- LDPC 코드에 의해 부호화를 수행하는 통신 시스템에 있어서,패리티 검사 행렬을 이용하여 소스 데이터를 크기가 'n'비트인 코드워드로 부호화(encoding)하는 LDPC 인코딩 모듈; 및상기 코드워드의 크기를, 전송 가능한 데이터 크기가 't' 비트인 전송채널에 정합되도록, 조정하는 정합 모듈을 포함하되, 상기 정합 모듈은,'n'이 't'보다 작은 경우에는 상기 코드워드 중, 상기 패리티 검사 행렬에서 열의 무게가 가장 큰 (t-n)개의 열에 대응하는, (t-n)개 비트를 반복함으로써 상기 코드워드의 크기를 조정하고,'n'이 't'보다 큰 경우에는 상기 코드워드 중, 상기 패리티 검사 행렬에서 열의 무게가 가장 작은 (n-t)개의 열에 대응하는, (n-t)개 비트를 펑처링함으로써 상기 코드워드의 크기를 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 정합 모듈은 상기 코드워드 중 시스템 비트들에 대해서 우선적으로 반복을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신 장치.
- 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서,상기 정합 모듈은 반복되는 비트들을 상기 코드워드의 후미에 추가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 정합 모듈은 상기 코드워드 중 패리티 비트들에 대해서 우선적으로 펑쳐링을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신 장치.
