- (a) 용매 중에 하나 이상의 염 전구체를, 반응성 중합체 혼합물의 하나 이상의 성분과 함께 용해시켜 염 전구체 혼합물을 형성시키는 단계;(b) 용매 중에 하나 이상의 금속제(metal agent)와 하나 이상의 분산제를, 하나 이상의 반응 성분과 함께 용해시킴으로써 분산제-금속제 착물을 형성시켜 금속제 혼합물을 형성시키는 단계로서, 상기 용매 및 성분들이 동일하거나 상이할 수 있는 단계;(c) 상기 염 전구체 혼합물과 상기 금속제 혼합물을 입자 형성 조건하에 혼합시켜, 하나 이상의 항균성 금속 염 [Mq+]a[Xz-]b를 포함(여기서, X는 음으로 하전된 임의의 이온이고, M은 양으로 하전된 임의의 금속이고, a, b, q 및 z는 독립적으로 1 이상의 정수이고, q*a = z*b이다)하는 입자 함유 혼합물을 형성시키는 단계; 및(e) 상기 입자 함유 혼합물을, 단계(c)에서 첨가된 상기 금속제로부터의 M의 90% 이상이 항균성 중합체 제품에서 Mq+로서 유지되기에 충분한 반응 조건하에서 반응시켜 항균성 중합체 제품을 형성시키는 단계를 포함하는, 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서, 단계(a) 또는 (b)에서 사용되는 하나 이상의 반응 성분이 금속제와는 비반응성인, 방법.
