Claims (44)
- 표면(surface)을 구비한 작업편(workpiece)으로서, 상기 표면의 적어도 일부분들은 PVD 공정에 의해 증착된 내마모성 다중층 하드 코팅(wear resistant multilayered hard coating)으로 코팅되었고, 상기 하드 코팅은 하나 이상의 제 1의 지지층(first supporting layer) 및 SEM 단면에서 나노결정질 성장 구조(nanocrystalline growth structure)를 나타내는 제 2의 층(second layer)을 포함하고, 상기 제 1의 층은 상기 작업편과 상기 제 2의 층 사이에 삽입되고, 상기 제 1의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하며,(TiaAl1-a)N1-x-yCxOy0.4 < a < 0.6, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3또는(AlbCr1-b)N1-x-yCxOy0.5 < b < 0.7, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3);제 2의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하는 작업편.(Al1-c-d-eCrcSidMe)N1-x-yCxOyM 은 크롬을 제외한 주기율표 그룹 4, 5, 6의 전이 금속들 중 하나 이상이고,0.2 < c ≤0.35, 0 < d ≤ 0.20, 0 < e ≤ 0.04.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제 1의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하고(TiaAl1 -a)N1 -x- yCxOy0.4 < a < 0.6, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3또는(AlbCr1 -b)N1 -x- yCxOy0.5 < b < 0.7, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3);제 2의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하는 작업편.(Al1 -c-d- eCrcSidM'e')N1 -x- yCxOyM' 은 W, Mo, Ta 또는 Cb [Nb] 이고,0.2 < c ≤0.35, 0.06 ≤ d' ≤0.15, 0 < e ≤ 0.04.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 지수 QAl/Cr = (1-c-d-e)/c 는 범위 1.7 ≤ QAl/Cr ≤ 2.4 인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 코팅 두께 D는 1μm ≤D ≤ 10 μm인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 코팅 두께 D는 2μm ≤D ≤ 6 μm인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제 1의 지지층의 두께 D1은 제 2의 코팅층의 두께 D2보다 더 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제 1의 지지층의 경도 HV1은 제 2의 코팅층의 경도 HV2 보다 더 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1의 층은 SEM 단면에서 원주형 성장 구조(columnar growth structure)를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 나노결정질 제 2의 층의 텍스츄어 상수(texture coefficient) QI = I(200)/I(l11) 는 0.7 ≤ Q1 ≤ 2 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1의 층이 교호의 (TiaAl1-a)N1-x-yCxOy 및 (Al1-c-d-eCrcSidMe)N1-x-yCxOy 층들 또는 교호의 (AlbCr1-b)N1-x-yCxOy 및 (Al1-c-d-eCrcSidMe)N1-x-yCxOy 층들의 다중층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 작업편은 고속도강(high speed steel), 초경합금(cemented carbide), 질화붕소공구(cubic boron nitride), 서멧(cermet) 또는 세라믹 재료로 만들어진 본체(body)를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 작업편은 절삭 공구인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 작업편은 엔드밀(end mill), 드릴(drill), 절삭 인서트(cutting insert) 및 기어 절삭 공구(gear cutting tool)로부터 선택된 절삭 공구인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 작업편을 550℃ 이상의 고온으로 가열하는 단계; 및증착 공정동안 상기 온도를 유지하는(holding) 단계를 포함하는 제 1항에 의한 작업편을 제조하기 위한 PVD 공정.
- 작업편을 600℃로 가열하는 단계; 및증착 공정동안 상기 온도를 유지하는 단계를 포함하는 제 1항에 의한 작업편을 제조하기 위한 PVD 공정.
- 제 15항 또는 16항에 있어서, 제 1의 코팅의 증착 동안 제 1의 기판 전압 U1을 인가하는 단계 및 제 2의 코팅의 증착 동안 제 2의 더 높은 기판 전압 U2를 인가하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 공정.
- 제 16항에 있어서, 0 V≤ U1 ≤- 100 V 이고 -80 V≤U2 ≤ -200 V이고, │U2 - U1│≥ 20 인 것을 특징으로 하는 공정.
- 청구항 제 12항의 절삭 공구를 사용하여 HRC 50 또는 그 이상의 록웰 경도(Rockwell hardness)를 갖는 경질 재료를 절삭하는 절삭 공정.
- 제 18항에 있어서, 상기 경질 재료는 경화 강(hardened steel)인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공정.
- 표면(surface)을 구비한 작업편(workpiece)으로서, 상기 표면의 적어도 일부분들은 PVD 공정에 의해 증착된 내마모성 다중층 하드 코팅(wear resistant multilayered hard coating)으로 코팅되었고, 상기 하드 코팅은 하나 이상의 제 1의 지지층(first supporting layer) 및 제 2의 층(second layer)을 포함하고, 상기 제 1의 층은 상기 작업편과 상기 제 2의 층 사이에 삽입되고, 상기 제 1의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하며,(TiaAl1-a)N1-x-yCxOy0.4 < a < 0.6, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3또는(AlbCr1-b)N1-x-yCxOy0.5 < b < 0.7, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3);제 2의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하고,(Al1-c-d-eCrcSidMe)N1-x-yCxOyM 은 크롬을 제외한 주기율표 그룹 4, 5, 6의 전이 금속들 중 하나 이상이고,0.2 < c ≤0.35, 0 < d ≤ 0.20, 0 < e ≤ 0.04;제 2의 층은 두 개의 서로 다른 결정질 상들(crystalline phases)을 포함하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 제 1의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하고(TiaAl1-a)N1-x-yCxOy0.4 < a < 0.6, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3또는(AlbCr1-b)N1-x-yCxOy0.5 < b < 0.7, 이고 0 ≤ x 와 y < 0.3);제 2의 층은 하기 조성의 코팅 재료를 포함하는 작업편.(Al1-c-d-eCrcSidM'e')N1-x-yCxOyM' 은 W, Mo, Ta 또는 Cb [Nb] 이고,0.2 < c ≤0.35, 0.06 ≤ d' ≤0.15, 0 < e ≤ 0.04.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 제 2의 층은 나노결정질 층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 22항에 있어서, 상기 서로 다른 결정질 상들은 면심입방구조(cubic face centered(fcc)) 및 조밀육방구조(hexagonale close packed(hcp)) 상인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 23항에 있어서, 상기 hcp 상의 XRD 시그널은 개체가 열처리되거나 고온 작업되면 더 구부러지는(prone) 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 23항에 있어서, 상기 hcp 상은 Al 풍부한 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 23항에 있어서, 증착된 hcp 상의 함량은 5 내지 40 Vol%인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 22항에 있어서, 상기 제 2의 층은 SEM 단면에서 나노결정질 성장 구조를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 22항에 있어서, 나노결정질 제 2의 층의 텍스츄어 상수(texture coefficient) QI = I(200)/I(l11) 는 0.7 ≤ Q1 ≤ 2 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 지수 QAl/Cr = (1-c-d-e)/c 는 범위 1.7 ≤ QAl/Cr ≤ 2.4 인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 코팅 두께 D는 1μm ≤D ≤ 10 μm인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 제 1의 지지층의 두께 D1은 제 2의 코팅층의 두께 D2보다 더 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 제 1의 지지층의 경도 HV1은 제 2의 코팅층의 경도 HV2 보다 더 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 제 1의 층은 SEM 단면에서 원주형 성장 구조(columnar growth structure)를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.

- 제 37항에 있어서, 상기 경질 재료는 경화 강(hardened steel)인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공정.
- 작업편을 550℃ 이상의 고온으로 가열하는 단계; 및증착 공정동안 상기 온도를 유지하는(holding) 단계를 포함하는 제 20항에 의한 작업편을 제조하기 위한 PVD 공정.
- 작업편을 600℃로 가열하는 단계; 및증착 공정동안 상기 온도를 유지하는 단계를 포함하는 제 20항에 의한 작업편을 제조하기 위한 PVD 공정.
- 제 39항 또는 40항에 있어서, 제 1의 코팅의 증착 동안 제 1의 기판 전압 U1을 인가하는 단계 및 제 2의 코팅의 증착 동안 제 2의 더 높은 기판 전압 U2를 인가하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 공정.
- 제 41항에 있어서, 0 V≤ U1 ≤- 100 V 이고 -80 V≤U2 ≤ -200 V이고, │U2 - U1│≥ 20 인 것을 특징으로 하는 공정.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 코팅 두께 D는 2μm ≤ D ≤ 6 μm 인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 작업편은 엔드밀(end mill), 드릴(drill), 절삭 인서트(cutting insert) 및 기어 절삭 공구(gear cutting tool)로부터 선택된 절삭 공구인 것을 특징으로 하는 작업편.
