Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- (a) 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트 층으로 코팅된 기재; 및(b) 1종 이상의 비금속(base metal) 산화물 및 다공성 내화성 산화물을 포함하며 귀금속을 함유하지 않는 오버코트 층을 포함하고;i) 상기 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트 층은 서로 인접해 있고, 상기 오버코트 층으로 코팅되거나, 또는ii) 상기 오버코트 층은 상기 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트층 중 한 쌍의 사이에 위치하며, 상기 한 쌍의 워시코트층은 하부 워시코트 층과 상부 워시코트 층을 포함하고, 상기 오버코트 층이 상기 하부 워시코트 층 위를 코팅하는 것이고,iii) 상기 비금속 산화물이 산화란탄인 경우, 산화란탄은 0.2g/in3 이하의 양으로 존재하는 것인,자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층이 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매의 상류 가장자리로부터 상기 촉매의 상류 부분 위를 코팅함으로써 촉매독 포획 대역을 생성하며, 상기 촉매독 포획 대역은 상기 상류 가장자리로부터 상기 촉매 길이의 10 내지 60% 범위의 길이를 차지하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층이 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매의 상류 가장자리로부터 상기 촉매의 상류 부분 위를 코팅함으로써 촉매독 포획 대역을 생성하며, 상기 촉매독 포획 대역은 상기 상류 가장자리로부터 상기 촉매 길이의 1 내지 5 인치 범위의 길이를 차지하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 워시코트 층이 상기 기재의 하류 부분 위를 코팅함으로써, 상기 상부 워시코트 층에 의해 코팅되지 않은 상류 촉매독 포획 대역을 생성하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기재가 벌집형 모노리스(monolith)인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다공성 내화성 산화물이 알루미나인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 1개 이상의 상기 워시코트 층이 산소 저장 성분을 더 포함하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층의 두께가 10 마이크로미터 내지 120 마이크로미터인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다공성 내화성 산화물이 입자내- 및/또는 입자간-기공을 함유하고, 상기 기공의 반경 크기가 10 내지 500 옹스트롬 범위인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층이 산소 저장 성분을 더 포함하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층이 이트륨, 니오븀, 란탄, 프라세오디뮴, 네오디뮴, 프로메튬, 사마륨, 디스프로슘 및 이테르븀을 함유하는 화합물들로 이루어지는 군 중에서 선택되는 추가 성분을 더 포함하는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 오일- 및/또는 연료-유래 첨가제로 인해 발생하는 피독에 대해 증가된 내성을 가지며, 자동차 배기 가스와 처음 접촉하는 상류 가장자리 및 하류 가장자리를 갖는 기재를 포함하는 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매와 배기 가스 스트림을 접촉시키는 단계를 포함하며,상기 촉매는(a) 상기 기재 위에 코팅되고, 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트 층; 및(b) 1종 이상의 비금속(base metal) 산화물 및 다공성 내화성 산화물을 포함하며 귀금속을 함유하지 않는 오버코트 층을 포함하고;i) 상기 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트 층은 서로 인접해 있고, 상기 오버코트 층으로 코팅되거나, 또는ii) 상기 오버코트 층은 상기 1종 이상의 귀금속 성분을 함유하는 2개 이상의 워시코트층 중 한 쌍의 사이에 위치하고, 상기 한 쌍의 워시코트층은 하부 워시코트 층과 상부 워시코트 층을 포함하며, 상기 오버코트 층이 상기 하부 워시코트 층 위를 코팅하고,iii) 상기 비금속 산화물이 산화란탄인 경우, 산화란탄은 0.2g/in3 이하의 양으로 존재하며;(c) 상기 배기 가스를 상기 상류 가장자리에서부터 상기 하류 가장자리까지 상기 촉매 부재 위를 통과시키는 것인,자동차 배기 가스의 처리 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 기재가 벌집형 모노리스인 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 1개 이상의 상기 워시코트 층이 세리아; 세륨 및 지르코늄의 혼합 산화물; 및 세륨, 지르코늄, 프라세오디뮴, 네오디뮴 및/또는 산화란탄 또는 산화이트륨과 같은 안정화제의 혼합 산화물로 이루어지는 군 중에서 선택된 산소 저장 성분을 더 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 다공성 내화성 산화물이 알루미나인 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 오버코트 층이 산소 저장 성분을 더 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비금속 산화물이 알칼리 금속 산화물, 알칼리 토금속 산화물, 전이금속 산화물 및 희토류 금속 산화물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비금속 산화물이 산화바륨, 산화스트론튬, 산화마그네슘 및 산화칼슘으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 알칼리 토금속 산화물인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 알칼리 토금속 산화물이 산화바륨 및 산화스트론튬으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 것인 자동차 배기 가스 처리 촉매.
