Abstract

본 발명은 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는, 힌지의 활용도 및 사용성을 증대시키기 위한 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따르면, 힌지를 구비한 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기로서, 힌지에 조작부가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하기 때문에, 힌지의 활용도 및 사용성을 증대시키고, 버튼 추가공간이 불필요하여 기기의 크기를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 폴더의 오픈각도에 따른 다양한 사용행태에 대응할 수 있는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 제공된다.

Description

듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기{Dual display folder type terminal}
본 발명은 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는, 힌지(hinge)의 활용도 및 사용성을 증대시키기 위한 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기에 관한 것이다.
근래, 넓은 화면을 지원하면서 휴대하기에 용이하도록 힌지를 이용하여 접을 수 있는 핸드폰, 랩탑 PC(laptop personal computer)와 같은 접이식단말기가 많이 이용되고 있다.
종래기술에 따른 접이식단말기의 경우, 힌지는 단순히 폴딩(folding)을 구현하거나 각도를 지지하는 용도로만 사용되었다. 또한, 조작부는 제품의 전면, 상하단 및 측면 등에 힌지와는 별도로 위치되었다. 특히, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 경우, 2개의 폴더(folder) 모두에 화면부가 형성되어 있기 때문에 조작부를 배치하기가 어려운 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 힌지의 활용도 및 사용성을 증대시키고, 버튼(button) 추가공간이 불필요하여 기기의 크기를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 폴더의 오픈각도(open angle)에 따른 다양한 사용행태에 대응할 수 있는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기를 제공하는 데에 그 목적이 있다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은, 힌지를 구비한 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기로서, 힌지에 조작부가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 힌지에 조작부가 형성됨으로써, 힌지의 활용도 및 사용성을 증대시키고, 버튼 추가공간이 불필요하여 기기의 크기를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 폴더의 오픈각도에 따른 다양한 사용행태에 대응할 수 있는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기를 제공할 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 제 1 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이다.
도 2는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 3은 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 180°로 열린 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 4는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 스탠딩(standing) 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 5는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 360°로 열린 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 6은 본 발명의 제 2 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이다.
도 7은 본 발명의 제 3 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이다.
도 8은 도 7에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 9는 본 발명의 제 4 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 평면도이다.
이하, 본 발명에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 바람직한 실시형태를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 제 1 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이고, 도 2는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태를 도시한 사시도이며, 도 3은 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 180°로 열린 상태를 도시한 사시도이고, 도 4는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 스탠딩 상태를 도시한 사시도이며, 도 5는 도 1에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 360°로 열린 상태를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 1 내지 도 5를 참조하여, 본 발명의 제 1 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기를 설명하면 다음과 같다. 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)는 제 1 폴더(110), 제 2 폴더(120) 및 힌지(130)를 구비한다.
제 1 폴더(110)는 내면(폴더의 표면 중 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기를 닫힌 상태로부터 열 때 내측에 위치하는 면)에 화면부(111)가 형성되어 있으며, 내면의 일단에는, 전화통화시 상대방의 음성을 사용자에게 전달하는 스피커(speaker; 112)와, 사진 또는 동영상을 촬영하기 위한 카메라(camera; 140)가 형성되어 있다. 제 2 폴더(120)는 내면에 화면부(121)가 형성되어 있으며, 내면의 일단에는, 전화통화시 사용자의 음성을 수신하기 위한 마이크(microphone; 122)가 형성되어 있다. 참고로, 본 실시형태에 따른 제 1 폴더(110)와 제 2 폴더(120)는 일반적인 휴대폰과 마찬가지로 가로방향 길이보다 세로방향 길이가 더 크다.
힌지(130)는 제 1 폴더(110)와 제 2 폴더(120)를 연결하여 회동시키는 구성요소로서, 본 실시형태의 경우, 제 1 폴더(110)의 타단에 위치한 기어축(gear axis; 도시되지 않음)과 제 2 폴더(120)의 타단에 위치한 기어축(도시되지 않음)이 서로 맞물리며 돌아가는 360°기어힌지(gear hinge)이다. 360°기어힌지에 의해 제 1 폴더(110)와 제 2 폴더(120)는 서로 동일한 각도만큼 회전하며, 서로 360°를 이룰 때까지 회전할 수 있다. 힌지(130)에는 제 1 외면 조작부(160)와 제 2 외면 조작부(150)로 이루어진 조작부가 형성되어 있다.
제 1 외면 조작부(130)는, 힌지(130)의 외면 중, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태로부터 열릴 때 내측에 위치한 제 1 외면에 형성되어 있으며, 본 실시형태의 경우, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 4개의 터치키(touch key)로 이루어져 있으나 버튼키 또는 터치스크린(touch screen)도 가능하다. 측면 조작부(150)는 힌지(130)의 측면에 형성되어 있으며, 본 실시형태의 경우, 도 2, 도 4 및 도 5에 도시된 바와 같이 버튼키로 이루어져 있으나, 터치키 또는 터치스크린도 가능하다.
듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)가 닫힌 상태의 경우, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 측면 조작부(150)가 외부에 노출된다. 이에 따라, 닫힌 상태에서도 조작이 가능하며, 측면 조작부(150)가 터치스크린으로 이루어져 있는 경우에는 간단한 정보확인도 가능하다.
듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)가 90°~180°로 열린 상태에 있는 경우, 도 1 및 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 사용자는 전화통화를 하거나 동영상과 같은 멀티콘텐츠(multi-contents)를 감상하면서 힌지(130)에 배치된 제 1 외면 조작부(160)에 의해 조작할 수 있다.
듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)가 180°이상 열려서 바닥면에 서 있는 스탠딩 상태에 있는 경우, 도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 힌지(130)의 제 1 외면 조작부(160)가 시야에 자연스럽게 보이게 된다. 이에 따라, 스탠딩 상태에서 화면을 보며 화면을 터치하지 않고도 제 1 외면 조작부(160)를 이용하여 쉽게 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)를 조작할 수 있다.
듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(100)가 360°로 열린 상태에 있는 경우, 도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 측면 조작부(150)는 셀프슈팅(self shooting) 버튼 또는 풀터치폰(full touch phone)의 기능키로 활용될 수 있다.
도 6은 본 발명의 제 2 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이다. 도 6을 참조하여, 제 2 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(200)를 설명하면 다음과 같다. 제 2 실시형태에 따른 힌지(230)는, 제 1 실시형태의 기어힌지와 달리, 하나의 힌지축부(233)에 의해 제 1 폴더(210)와 제 2 폴더(220)를 회동시키는 일반적인 힌지구조를 가지고 있다. 이에 따라, 힌지(230)는, 힌지(230)와 제 1 폴더(210)를 연결하는 제 1 힌지가드(hinge guard)부(231), 힌지(230)와 제 2 폴더(220)를 연결하는 제 2 힌지가드부(232), 및 힌지축부(233)로 이루어져 있다. 힌지축부(233)의 말단면에는 힌지축 조작부(270)가 형성되어 있으며, 제 2 힌지가드부(232)의 외면에 힌지가드 조작부(280)가 형성되어 있다. 본 실시형태에 따르면, 힌지축 조작부(270)가 항상 외부에 드러나기 때문에, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(200)의 열린 각도에 상관없이 힌지축 조작부(270)를 조작할 수 있다. 본 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(200)는, 이상에서 설명한 구성을 제외하면, 제 1 실시형태의 구성과 동일하다.
도 7은 본 발명의 제 3 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 사시도이고, 도 8은 도 7에 도시된 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태를 도시한 사시도이다. 도 7 및 도 8을 참조하여, 제 3 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(300)를 설명하면 다음과 같다. 제 3 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(300)는, 제 1 실시형태와 달리, 랩탑 PC와 마찬가지로, 세로방향 길이보다 가로방향 길이가 더 긴 제 1 폴더(310)와 제 2 폴더(320)를 갖는다. 또한, 힌지(330)의 외면 중 제 1 외면과 반대방향에 위치한 제 2 외면에 외면 조작부(390)가 형성되어 있다. 본 실시형태의 경우, 제 2 외면 조작부(390)는 터치스크린으로 이루어져 있기 때문에, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(300)가 닫힌 상태에서도 제 2 외면 조작부(390)를 통해 간단한 정보를 확인하고 입력을 행할 수 있다. 본 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기는 위와 같은 내용을 제외하면 제 1 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 구성과 유사하다.
도 9는 본 발명의 제 4 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 평면도이다. 도 9를 참조하여, 제 4 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(400)를 설명하면 다음과 같다. 제 4 실시형태에 따른 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(400)의 힌지(430)는, 제 3 실시형태와 달리, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(400)의 양측에 분리되어 형성되는 분리형 힌지이다. 힌지(430)의 제 1 외면에는 제 1 외면 조작부(460)가 형성되어 있다. 본 실시형태의 경우, 제 1 외면 조작부(460)는 버튼키 또는 터치키로 이루어져 있다. 본 실시형태에 따르면, 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 가로방향 양측에 위치한 힌지(430)에 제 1 외면 조작부(460)가 형성되어 있기 때문에 양손으로 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기(400)를 파지하면서 엄지손가락이 자연스럽게 제 1 외면 조작부(460)를 조작할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 책을 보거나 음악을 들을 때의 이전/다음 버튼 또는 모드전환 키로 활용할 수 있다.
본 발명은 첨부된 예시 도면의 바람직한 실시형태를 중심으로 도시하고 설명하였지만, 이에 한정하지 않고 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 이하의 청구범위에 기재된 본 발명의 기술적 사상의 범위 내에서 다양한 변형된 형태로 실시할 수 있음은 물론이다.

Claims (11)

  1. 힌지를 구비한 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기로서,
    상기 힌지에 조작부가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하고,
    상기 힌지는 힌지축부 및 상기 힌지와 상기 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 폴더를 연결하는 힌지 가드를 포함하고,
    상기 조작부는,
    상기 힌지의 외면 중, 상기 듀얼디스플레이 접이식 단말기가 열린 상태에서 상기 듀얼디스플레이 단말기의 내측에 위치하는 제1 외면에 형성된 제1 외면 조작부; 및
    상기 힌지를 따라 상기 힌지 가드의 외면에 형성되고, 상기 듀얼디스플레이 단말기가 닫힌 상태에서 적어도 하나의 기능을 제공하기 위한 힌지 가드 조작부를 포함하고,
    상기 힌지 가드 조작부는 복수의 입력 키들 또는 터치 스크린을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.

  3. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 조작부는 상기 힌지의 측면에 형성된 측면 조작부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 측면 조작부는 상기 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기가 닫힌 상태에서 외부에 노출되는 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 힌지는 360°기어힌지인 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 조작부는 힌지축부의 말단면에 형성된 힌지축 조작부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.

  10. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 힌지는, 상기 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기의 양측에 분리되어 형성된 분리형 힌지인 것을 특징으로 하는 듀얼디스플레이 접이식단말기.
