Abstract
Description
Claims (6)
- 광을 발생하기 위한 백라이트 어셈블리;서로 대향하여 결합하는 상부 기판 및 하부기판을 구비하고, 상기 광을 제공받아 영상을 표시하기 위한 액정표시패널 어셈블리; 및상기 상부 기판상에 구비된 제1 편광판;상기 제1 편광판상에 구비되어 외부에서 입사된 광을 선택적으로 반사하기 위한 제2 편광판;상기 하부 기판상에 구비된 제3 편광판; 및상기 상부 기판과 하부 기판사이에 개재된 액정층을 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 편광판 및 제3 편광판은 상기 광을 편광하여 투과시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 편광판은 전압이 인가되지 않은 상태에서 외부에서 입사된 광의 50%이상을 반사시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 기판은 컬러 필터 및 상기 컬러 필터 사이에 광을 차폐시키기 위한 광 차폐막을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광 차폐막은 알루미늄(Al), 알루미늄 합금(Al alloy), 크롬(Cr), 티타늄(Ti) 및 탄탈륨(Ta)중 어느 하나 이상으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 편광판의 편광축과 제2 편광판의 편광축이 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
