Claims (11)
- 백접패(Pinctada maxima), 흑접패(Pinctada margaritifera), 자이언트 클램(Tridacnae maxima), 대왕 조개(Tridacnae gigas) 및 기타의 진주조개(Pinctada) 종들로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 쌍각 조개 연체 동물들(bivalve mollusks)의 진주 아라고나이트 층(nacreous aragonitic layer)인 반합성 혼성 물질(semi-synthetic hybrid material)로서,
상기 물질은 무기 성분(inorganic fraction) 및 가교 결합된 유기 성분(cross-linked organic fraction)을 포함하고 pH가 7 내지 7.4인 것을 특징으로 하는 반합성 혼성 물질. - 무기 성분 및 유기 성분을 포함하는 천연 혼성 생체 물질(natural hybrid biomaterial)로부터 반합성 혼성 물질을 제조하는 방법으로서,
상기 천연 혼성 생체 물질은 백접패, 흑접패, 자이언트 클램, 대왕 조개 및 기타의 진주조개 종들로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 쌍각 조개 연체 동물들의 진주 아라고나이트 층이고,
상기 방법은 pH를 변화(modify)시키는 과정과 상기 천연 혼성 생체 물질의 유기 성분을 가교 결합하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법. - 제 1 항에 따른 반합성 혼성 물질로 이루어진 골 접합 장치(osteosynthesis device) 또는 임플란트(implant)를 제조하는 방법으로서,
a) 백접패, 흑접패, 자이언트 클램, 대왕 조개 및 기타의 진주조개 종들로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 연체 동물들의 판막들(valves)로서, 이미 노광을 거친 진주 아라고나이트 층의 판막들을 선택하는 과정;
b) 디지털 모델링 후 적절한 경우에, 프리폼(pre-forms)을 잘라내어 골접합 물질(osteosynthesis material)를 제조하는 과정;
c) pH를 변화시키고 가교 결합시키는 과정; 및
d) 표면 상태를 개질(modify)하는 과정;
을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법. - 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 pH를 변화시키는 과정은 미생물적으로 제어된 네트워크의 수조(bath)에 침지하고, 비등(boil)시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 2 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 가교 결합 과정은 리보플라빈(riboflavin)과 같은 가교제의 첨가, UVA에 대한 화학선 노출(actinic exposure), 또는 vitamin C, 만니톨(mannitol)과 같은 폴리올(polyol), 및/또는 이온화 방사선(ionizing radiation)과 같은 물리적 작용제들(physical agents), 바람직하게는, UVA에 대한 노출과 함께 리보플라민으로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 골 접합 장치 또는 임플란트 제조 방법.
- 제 3 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 표면 상태를 개질하는 상기 과정 d)는, 샌드 블라스팅(sandblasting), 초음파에 의한 세척, 극저온(cryogenics), 및 상기 천연 혼성 물질의 기계적으로 구조화된 나노 입자들(mechanically structured nanoparticles)의 인가(application)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
