도 1은 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 시스템의 제1 예시적인 구현예를 도시한다.

본 발명은 보다 구체적으로 바람직한 예시적인 구현예들에 의해 상세히 도시되고 설명되었지만, 본 발명은 개시되는 예들에 의해 제한되지 않는다.
Claims (12)
- 디스플레이 시스템(1)으로서,
데이터를 표시하도록 구성되는 디스플레이를 포함하되, 상기 디스플레이는 표시를 위해 구성되지 않은 비활성 디스플레이 에지, 및 표시를 위해 구성되는 활성 디스플레이 내표면을 포함하고,
발광 유닛들을 구비한 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)을 추가로 포함하되, 상기 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)은 상기 발광 유닛들에 의해 방출되는 광이 상기 디스플레이를 위한 백라이트를 형성하도록 상기 디스플레이의 후방측에 직접적으로 또는 간접적으로 배치되고, 상기 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)은 상기 디스플레이 에지에 대응하는 백라이팅 에지(12)를 포함하며, 상기 디스플레이 내표면에 대응하는 백라이팅 내표면(13)을 포함하고,
상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하기 위한 제어 시스템을 추가로 포함하되,
상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)의 일부에 걸쳐 상기 백라이팅 에지(12)로부터 연장되는 전이 에지 영역(9)이 제공되고, 제1 개수의 개별적으로 구동가능한 발광 유닛이 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)에 배치되며,
상기 전이 에지 영역(9)이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)은 제2 개수의 개별적으로 구동가능한 발광 유닛을 포함하고, 상기 제1 개수는 상기 제2 개수보다 크고, 그리고/또는
상기 제어 시스템은 개별적으로 또는 제1 클러스터로 상호연결된 상태로 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)에 배치되는 상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하며, 제2 클러스터로 상호연결된 상태로 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면에 의해 포함되는 발광 유닛들을 구동하도록 구성되고, 제1 클러스터로 상호연결된 상기 발광 유닛들의 개수는 제2 클러스터로 상호연결된 상기 발광 유닛들의 개수보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1). - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 액정 디스플레이(LCD)(2)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)의 상기 발광 유닛들은 행렬형 방식으로 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)의 상기 발광 유닛들은 행렬형 방식으로 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 백라이팅 에지(12)에는, 발광 유닛이 배치되지 않거나, 상기 전이 에지 영역(9) 및 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)에 비해, 감소된 개수의 발광 유닛이 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 내표면은 비가시 영역들을 포함하고, 상기 영역들에 대응하는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)에는, 발광 유닛이 배치되지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 내표면은 비가시 영역들을 포함하고, 상기 영역들에 대응하는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)에는, 감소된 개수의 발광 유닛이 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 발광 유닛들은 발광 다이오드들(LED)(5)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 발광 다이오드들(5)은 개별적으로 디밍가능하게 설계되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 시스템(1).
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 디스플레이 시스템(1)을 포함하는 차량.
- 디스플레이 시스템(1)의 작동 방법으로서,
- 데이터를 표시하도록 구성되는 디스플레이를 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 디스플레이는 표시를 위해 구성되지 않은 비활성 디스플레이 에지, 및 표시를 위해 구성되는 활성 디스플레이 내표면을 포함하는, 상기 디스플레이를 제공하는 단계;
- 발광 유닛들을 구비한 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)을 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)은 상기 발광 유닛들에 의해 방출되는 광이 상기 디스플레이를 위한 백라이트를 형성하도록 상기 디스플레이의 후방측에 직접적으로 또는 간접적으로 배치되고, 상기 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)은 상기 디스플레이 에지에 대응하는 백라이팅 에지(12)를 포함하며, 상기 디스플레이 내표면에 대응하는 백라이팅 내표면(13)을 포함하는, 상기 백라이팅 모듈(6, 6a, 6b)을 제공하는 단계;
- 상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하기 위한 제어 시스템을 제공하는 단계;
- 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)의 일부에 걸쳐 상기 백라이팅 에지(12)로부터 연장되는 전이 에지 영역(9)을 제공하는 단계;
- 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)에 배치되는 제1 개수의 개별적으로 구동가능한 발광 유닛을 작동시키는 단계;
- 상기 전이 에지 영역(9)이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면(13)에 배치되는 제2 개수의 개별적으로 구동가능한 발광 유닛을 작동시키는 단계로서, 상기 제1 개수는 상기 제2 개수보다 큰, 상기 발광 유닛을 작동시키는 단계; 및/또는
- 개별적으로 또는 제1 클러스터로 상호연결된 상태로 상기 전이 에지 영역에 배치되는 상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하며, 제2 클러스터로 상호연결된 상태로 상기 전이 에지 영역이 없는 상기 백라이팅 내표면에 배치되는 상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하는 단계로서, 제1 클러스터로 상호연결된 상기 발광 유닛들의 개수는 제2 클러스터로 상호연결된 상기 발광 유닛들의 개수보다 작은, 상기 발광 유닛들을 구동하는 단계
