본 발명은 데이타 기억 및 전송 시스템에 관한 것으로, 특히 원격지에서 데이타를 수집하여 중앙국으로 그 데이타를 전송하기 위한 시스템에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세히 말하면, 본 발명은 텔레비죤 시청자의 시청습관 및 시청 선호도에 관한 데이타를 수집하고, 그 데이타를 중앙국에 전송해 주는 텔레비죤 수상기 감시 시스템에 쓰이기 위한 것이다. 한 실시예에 의하면, 본 발명은 또한 각개의 텔레비죤 수상기가 대체 프로그램(substitute programming)을 표시하도록 제어되는 시스템에 관한 것이다.
종래에도 텔레비죤 시청자들의 시청 습관을 감시하기 위한 많은 시스템 및 장치들이 있었다. 초기의 그러한 시스템에서 여러 텔레비죤 프로그램들의 시장 분할도 및 규모를 결정하기 위해 시청시간 및 시청 채널에 관한 데이타를 현장에서 인간이 단순하게 수집하였다. 그후에, 유선 시스템에서는 2방식(two way)통신방식을 갖는 유선 TV시스템에 사용되었다. 전형적으로 그러한 시스템에서는 텔레비죤 세트를 중앙국으로부터 유선으로 점검하여, 중앙국에 도로 송신되는 채널 및 시간에 관한 정보를 통계 편집하기 위해 기록하였다. 이른바 Pay T.V 시스템이 또한 사용되었는데, 이 시스템에서는 계산(billing)정보가 케이블 시스템에 의해 중앙국으로 송신되었다. 또한, 시청된 채널 및 시간에 관한 정보를 수집하기 위해 원격지에 즉 텔레비죤 수상기에 기억 장치를 포함시킨 종래의 시스템이 있다. 수집된 데이타는 종래의 전화선으로 원격지로부터 중앙국으로 원격지국이나 중앙국의 전화 요청에 의해 송신된다.

본 발명의 목적은 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 및 시청자 반응을 원격감시하기 위한 시스템 및 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 시청자 습관 및 반응에 관한 정보를 수집하기 위한 사건에 의해 동작되는(event driven)메모리를 포함하는 각각의 원격 유니트가 포함된 시스템 및 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 또다른 목적은 본 발명의 특정 실시예에 제한되지 않지만 유선 텔레비죤 시스템에 사용될 수 있는 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 또한가지 목적은 원격 유니트를 제어하기 위한 제어 정보가 중앙국으로부터 비전용 전화선(non dedicated telephone line)으로 통신되는 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 또한 목적은 원격 유니트의 메모리내에 누전된 시청자 습관 및 반응 정보가 비전용 전화선으로 주기적으로 중앙국에 통신되는 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 한가지 다른 목적은 원격 유니트의 각각에 대해 프로그램 물(programming material)의 동적할당(dynamic allocation)을 달성하기 위해 대체 프로그램 제어정보가 원격지에서 메모리내에 기억되는 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따라 간단히 설명하면, 원격 유니트는 시청자 위치들의 각각 위치에 제공된다. 원격 유니트는 각 시청자 위치에서 하나 이상의 텔레비죤 세트들에 연결하기 위한 것이며, 또한 유선 텔레비죤 시스템과 관련하여서는 유선 텔레비죤 변환기에 연결하기 위한 것이다. 각각의 원격 유니트는 각각의 시청자 위치에서 그 유니트를 비전용 전화선과 결합하기에 적합한 모뎀(Modem)을 가졌다. 각각 원격 유니트는 마이크로 프로쎄서, 제어용 메모리, 데이타 기억용 메모리를 포함한다. 제어용 메모리는 원격 유니트용 동적 할당 정보를 포함한 제어 정보를 기억한다. 데이타 기억용 메모리는 사건구동식으로, 텔레비죤 채널 선택 및 시간에 관한 데이타를 기억하고, 시청자 반응과 같은 데이타를 기억할 수 있다. 미리 선택된 시간에서, 각각의 원격 유니트는 중앙국과 자기 자신의 식별을 위해 전화 호출한다. 원격 유니트와 중앙국과의 성공적인 전화 접속이 달성되면, 데이타 기억용 메모리에 포함된 시청자 습관 및 반응 데이타와 같은 데이타가 중앙국으로 전화선에 의해 송신된다. 중앙국은 차례로 새로운 제어 정보 즉 원격 유니트와 중앙국과의 다음 통신시까지 원격 유니트를 제어하기 위해 원격 유니트에 기억되며, 동적 할당 정보를 포함하는 새로운 제어정보를 각각의 원격 유니트에 송신할 수 있다.

제1도에 도시된 양호한 실시예에서, 시청자 제어부(20) 및 (21)이 각각의 변환기(18) 및 (19)와 관련하여 도시되었다. 각 시청자 제어부는 그러한 특징을 가지고 설비된다. 그러므로 시청자 제어부(20)는 채널 선택 스위치(20)와, 온(ON), 오프(OFF) 및 채널 고정 위치사이에서 동작할 수 있는 부가스위치(23)와, 발광다이오드(24)를 포함한다. 유사하게, 시청자 제어부(21)도 채널 선택스위치(26), 부가스위치(27), 및 발광 다이오드(28)를 포함한다.
각각의 유선 변환기부들은 원격 유니트(11)의 제어하에 그 원격 유니트(11)에 결합된다. 즉, 제1도에서, 제어 및 판독신호선(28) 및 (29)에 의해 원격 유니트(11)와 유선 변환기(18)가 상호 접속되고, 제어 및 판독신호선(30) 및 (31)에 의해 유니트(11)와 변환기(19)가 상호 접속된 것이 도시되었다.
원격 유니트(11)를 다시 설명하면, 원격 유니트의 심장부는 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)이다. 4K ROM 메모리(33)로 쓸 수 있는 제1메모리 수단은 프로쎄서와 연결되어 있으며, 마이크로 프로쎄서용 소프트웨어 프로그램 정보를 기억한다. 제2메모리 수단은 32K RAM(34)으로 구성되고, 데이타 기억을 위해 마이크로 프로쎄서에 상호 연결된다. 일시(日時)용 클록(36)과 같은 시간 수단이 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)에 정확한 일시 정보를 입력하기 위해 제공되었다. 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)는 유선 변환기(18)에 대한 제어 및 판독신호선(28) 및 (29)에 변환기 인터페이스(37)를 통해 연결된다. 마찬가지로, 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)는 유선 변환기(19)의 제어 및 판독신호선(3) 및 (31)으로 변환기 인터페이스(38)를 통해 연결된다. 스위치 레지스터(39)는 마이크로 프로쎄서 유니트(32) 식별 번호 및 중앙국의 전화번호를 입력하기 위한 것이다. 적당한 모뎀(41)이 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)의 제어하에 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)에 연결되어 비전용 전화 회로망을 통해 중앙국과 통신한다.
기능적으로 제1도에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명에 따른 시스템은 변화시간 발생에 따라서 변환기의 모든 변화들을 수집하게끔 프로그램되었다. 유선 변환기 상태는 최소시간 길이동안 또는 변환기의 오프된 시간동안에 한 채널에 대해 선택부를 고정하여 동지시킨 것을 변환기의 온으로 정의한다. 시스템은 유선 변환기(18) 또는 (19)의 상태가 변환한 각각의 시간 사건을 기록한 데이타를 기억한다. 얻어진 데이타는 새로운 변환기 채널 및 변환시간을 나타내준다. 만일 변환기가 오프되면, 얻어진 채널 번호는 0이다. ROM(33)내의 프로그램에 따라 시스템은 항상 심야에 수집된 데이타의 기입 여부를 판단하여 발생된 사건날짜를 포함한 어떤 잠재적인 불일치를 해결한다. 32K RAM 메모리(34)는 약 10,000개의 수집된 데이타 사건들을 기억하기에 충분하다.
원격 유니트는 일반적으로 3항목, 즉, 유선 변환기(18) 또는 (19)의 상태, 일시 및 스위치 래지스터(39)의 내용의 감시 루우프내에 있다. 이런 모우드중에서, 원격 유니트는 32K RAM 메모리(34)가 채워지기전까지 변환기의 모든 상태를 수집 및 기억한다. 미리 결정된 내부 호출시간이 도달되었는가를 결정하기 위해 일시는 감시된다. 스위치 레지스터(39)내에 세트된 유니트 식별번호에 따라 미리 설정된 독특한 내부호출시간을 각각의 원격 유니트는 가지고 있다. 미리 선택된 그 호출시간이 도달되었을때, 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)는 모뎀(41) 및 비전용 전화 회로망(14)을 통해 중앙국(13)과 통신한다.
내부 호출 과정에서, 원격 유니트가 그 번호를 돌리는데는 약 22초가 걸린다. 메모리(34)로부터 1200보오(Baud) 속도로 15킬로 바이트의 데이타를 송신하는데는 약 130초 걸린다. 부가적인 5초의 시간이 어떤 시스템을 동작하는데 주어진다. 각각의 유니트는 스위치 레지스터(39)에 기억된 유니트 식별번호에 의해 결정되는 독특한 내부 호출시간을 갖는다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1메모리 수단(33)에서의 프로그램하는 것은 전체적인 시스템의 내부 호출시간 윈도우(Window)가 오전 2시에 시작하도록 설정되었다. 그러면, 각각의 원격 유니트들에 대해 중앙국으로 통신하고 데이타를 송출한다. 그래서 첫번째 스테이숀이 내부 호출 윈도우의 시작후에 3분가 호출하고, 두번째 스테이숀은 윈도우의 시작후 6분내에 호출할 것이다.
일시 클록(36)에 의해 결정된 바와 같이 일시가 특정 원격 유니트의 내부 호출시간에 도달하면, 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)는 모뎀(41)을 통해 중앙국에 전화하려할 것이다. 그것은 전화기 수신기를 들고, 스위치 레지스터(39)내에 기억된 중앙국 전화번호를 돌리고, 중앙국 모뎀이 그 호출에 응답하기를 기다림으로 이뤄진다. 만일 원격 유니트가 중앙국과의 성공적인 연결을 하지 못하면, 수신기를 놓고 16초 기다린 후 다시 돌린다. 두번째 시도가 실패한다면, 원격 유니트는 국부시간보다 2시간 늦게 그 호출시간을 변화한후 정상 감시 모우드에 들어간다. 왜 전화 연결이 이뤄지지 않는가의 이유는 여러가지가 있다. 중앙국이 운전 정지되었거나 다른 원격 유니트와의 통신으로 통화중일 수 있다. 시청자는 원격 유니트가 호출을 시도할 때는 전화기 수신기를 내려 놓아야 즉 쓰지 말아야 한다.
만일 원격 유니트가 중앙국과 성공적인 연결을 이룬후 몇가지 이유 때문에 실패했을때는 통화를 끊고 재시도하기 전에 예를들면 3시간동안 기다리도록 프로그램되었다. 이런 일이 일어나면 몇가지 이유는 중앙국이 운전 정지되었거나, 주기적인 국부 호출시간중에 시청자가 그의 전화기 수신기를 들었거나의 경우이다.
일단 원격 유니트가 주기적으로 호출에 들어가면, 성공적인 전화 연결이 이뤄지고 성공적으로 중앙국과 통신하여, RAM(34)에 기억된 데이타를 송출할때까지 매3시간마다 재시도를 계속할 것이다. 그러나 어떤 경우에서든지 국부 메모리가 채워지지 않는한 원격 유니트는 유선 변환기 데이타를 수집하는 것을 계속한다.
본 발명에 따른 텔레비죤 시청자 데이타 수집 시스템은 프로그램에 대한 시청자의 성질적인 반응 또는 특정 시청자의 식별 등과 같은 데이타가 중앙국에 송출하기 위해 수집되고 기록된다는 특징을 가졌다. 특히, 시청자 제어부(20),(21)내에 있는 스위치(23) 또는 (27)가 온(ON)상태로 설정되면, 유선 변환기(1) 및 (19)에 의해 선택되는 채널은 그와 관련한 텔레비죤 방송수상기(16) 및 (17)상에 표시되는데, 그러한 채널은 채널 선택 스위치(22) 및 (26)에 의해 시청자에 의해 수동으로 선택될 수 있는 것이다. 그러나, 만일 스위치(23)이나 (27)이 채널 고정 위치로 설정되면, 유선 변환기(18) 및 (19)는 채널 선택 스위치(22) 및 (26)의 이후의 상태 변화에도 불구하고, 이미 선택된 채널로 동조되어 있는다. 그러나 채널 선택 스위치(22)(26)에서의 뒤이은 변화는 스위치(23)(27)가 채널 고정 위치에 있었다는 사실과 함께 RAM 메모리(34)내에 사건으로 기억된다. 그러므로, 이러한 특징은 시청자가 비데오 게임등과 같은 놀이에 또는 여러 종류의 정보 사용에 텔레비죤 수상기가 사용되는가를 표시해주는 가정에서의 시청자 개개인의 표시 및 시청자의 성질적인 프로그램 종류에 관련한 데이타를 기억하는데 이용된다. 이런 데이타의 특별한 번역을 다양한 선택된 채널 입력이 무엇을 의미하는지, 또는 유니트가 채널 고정 위치에 있을때에 어떻게 변역되는가에 관한 것은 중앙국에서의 번역에 따르게 된다.
중앙국(13)에서의 하드웨어는 단순한 비동기식 단말기로부터 대형 정밀 컴퓨터 설비에 이르기까지의 본 발명의 다양한 적용에 따라 광범위하다. 중앙국은 반이중선(half duplexer)을 제어하는 것을 포함하여 적당한 모뎀제어를 할 수 있어야 한다. 어떤 하나의 원격 유니트의 동작을 검사하는데는 오직 하나의 모뎀과 비동기식 ASCⅡ 단말이 필요하다. 물론 다수의 원격 유니트를 감시하기 위한 어떠한 중요한 자동식 데이타 기록의 적용에서는 하나 이상의 자동 응답 모뎀과, 시스템내의 모든 원격 유니트들에 의해 미리 결정된 주기 즉 24시간 동안 발생된 데이타를 기록할 수 있는 충분한 보조기억장치를 가진 온라인 컴퓨터로 구성된 중앙국이 필요하다.
제2도를 참조하면, 원격 유니트(11)의 부품의 상세한 블록도가 도시되었다. 제2도에 도시된 것처럼, 신호선(29) 및 (31)을 따라 변환기들로부터의 채널 선택에 대한 판독 신호 통로가 스케일 증폭기(42),(43)를 통해 아닐로그 스위치(44)로 통과한다. 아날로그 스위치(44)는 제1변환기 및 제2변환기들용 위해 판독신호 통로들 사이에서 절환하기 위한 것이다. 아날로그 스위치(44)의 출력은 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)와 통신하는 아날로그-디지탈 변환기(45)로 공급된다.

비트 버퍼 내장회로(52)가 시청자 제어부(20),(21)상의 스위치들의 채널 선택 및 온-오프 기능부로부터의 입력들을 완충기억한다. 비트 버퍼 내장회로(52)는 동적 할당 트리거 입력 A 및 B를 수신한다. 이러한 동적 할당 트리거 입력들은 시장 조사 목적등과 같은 목적으로 대체 프로그램 채널을 하는 것과 관련하여 유용하게 쓰이며, 그러한 동적 할당을 이용한 본 발명의 특정 실시예는 이후에 여기에서 기술된다.
제2도를 다시 참조하면, 60헬쯔(Hz)클럭(36)이 일시표시를 하도록 1초 클록을 출력하기 위해 카운트 다운 회로(53)에 입력된다. 1메가 헬쯔(MHz)클록(54)은 집적회로(53)에 연결되어 2밀리초(Msec)의 시간 출력신호를 내게 한다. 집적회로(53)는 공지의 것으로 번호 6522로 알려진 것이다.
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)는 8비트 MOSTEC 6502로 구성하고, 집적회로(53)의 시간 출력이 마이크로 프로쎄서로의 IRQ 및 NMI 인터럽트로 결합된다. 제2도에서, 전원 상승 또는 원격유니트의 전원 고장 기능 신호는 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)의 리세트 인터럽트에 결합된다.
범용 비동기식 송수신기(56)가 모뎀(41)에 마이크로 프로쎄서(31)를 결합하기 위해 제공된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 이것(56)은 UART(56)으로 표시하는데, 모터로 라사의 집적 회로 번호 6850이다.

본 발명의 동적 할당 특성을 지금부터 기술하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면 동적 할당 또는 대체 프로그램 정보는 중앙국으로부터, 각각의 원격 유니트와 중앙국 사이의 주기적 통신을 할때에, 메모리(34)에 포함된 테이블로 그 정보가 실리게 된다. 이런 테이블에는 미리 선택된 시간에 유선 변환기들이 대체 프로그램을 포함한 미리 선택된 채널로 마이크로 프로쎄서(32)의 제어하에 동조되게 하는 정보가 포함된다. 이런 방식으로, 시장조사가 이뤄지는데, 예를들면, 시청자의 일부 그룹에 한 개정된 상업방송을 보여주고, 다른 시청자 그룹에는 다른 개정된 상업방송을 보여주는 방식으로 시장조사기 이뤄질 수 있다. 이들 두 구룹의 시청자들에 의한 구입결정의 상관관계를 가지고, 상업방송의 특정의 개정 효과를 측정할 수 있게 된다.
동적 할당 시간은 두 방식중 하나에 의해 달성될 수 있다. 제1방식으로는, 대체 프로그램이 시작되는 일시가 중앙국과 통신하는 중에 메모리(34)로 로우드될 수 있다. 대안으로는, 트리거 신호를 대체 프로그램 즉 동적 할당 시간을 위해 변환기들로 입력되는 유선 신호상에 부호화하는 것이다. 이런 대안의 실시예에서, 그 트리거 신호용 수신기가 변환기들로 입력되는 유선 신호와 결합되어 비트 버퍼(52)에 결합된 바와 같이 제2도에서 동적 할당 트리거신호 A, B를 구동한다.

제4도를 참조하면, 원격 유니트의 주 논리 루우프의 논리 흐름도가 도시된다. 제1단계는 스위치 레지스터(39)를 판독하는 것이다. 만일 원격 유니트의 식별 번호가 0으로 설정되었다면, 그 유니트는 중앙국을 호출하도록 연결 서브루틴에 들어간다. 이런 특징은 예를들여 시청자의 집으로부터 데이타를 이동시키기 전에 원격 유니트가 강제로 어떤 데이타를 송출할 수 있게 한다는 점에서 유익하다. 또한 이것은 중앙국에서 원격 유니트의 동작을 검사하는데 유용하다. 이 과정은 원격 유니트가 0의 식별번호를 갖지 않아도 된다. 루우프에서 다음 단계는 심야 ＂참＂(midnight true)상태가 있느냐 없느냐를 결정하는 일이다. 만일 심야라면, 사건은 심야 ＂참＂으로 기억된다.
다음에, 원격 유니트는 제2변환기를 검사하기 위한 다른 사건 서브루틴을 하기에 앞서 제1변환기를 검사하기 위한 사건 서브루틴을 행한다.
다음의 논리 판단은 그 유니트가 자동 모우드 상태로 프로그램 되었는지 아닌지를 판단하는 것이다. 자동모우드 상태에서, 원격 유니트는 중앙국과 전화 통신을 시작하도록 프로그램 되어서 메모리(34)에 기억된 데이타를 중앙국에 송출한다. 만일 원격 유니트가 자동 모우드로 설정되지 않았다면, 원격 유니트는 그러한 전화 통신을 시작하지 않을 것이다. 만일 자동 모우드 ＂참＂ 상태가 존재하면, 다음 판단은 원격 유니트가 호출할 시간인지 아닌지를 결정하는 것이다. 만일 중앙국과 전화통신을 개시하도록 특정 원격 유니트에게 할당된 미리 선택된 시간일때라면, 연결 서브루틴에 들어간다.
다음의 판단 블록은 새로운 일시인지 아닌지를 결정하는 것이다. 새로운 일시가 아닐때는 주 루우프가 반복된다. 만일 새로운 일시라면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 원격 유니트상에 있는 발광 다이오드(58)(59)는 토글된다.
제5도를 참조하면, 연결 서브루틴이 도시되었다. 연결 서브루틴에서 제1단계는 원격 유니트가 중앙국의 전화 번호를 돌리는 것이다. 만일 성공적인 연결이면, 원격 유니트가 중앙국으로부터 지령을 받아들여 반응하게 하는 단자 드라이버 상태가 존재한다. 만일 성공적인 연결이 이뤄지지 않으면, 소프트 웨어에서 호출된 플래그가 제거되고, 두시간(또는 선택된 몇시간)이 추가되며 새로운 시간이 새로운 트랩 일초(new trap second of day)로서 얻어진다. 그러므로, 중앙국으로 시간에서 원격 유니트용의 새로운 호출은 예를들면 3시간 뒤의 어떤 미리 결정된 시간으로 정해진다. 제6도를 참조하면, 사건 서브루틴용 논리 흐름도가 도시된다. 제1판단은 메모리(34)가 채워진(full)상태인지 아닌지를 결정하는 것이다. 만일 메모리가 채워지지 않은 경우, 채널이 변화되었는가에 대해 판단해야 한다. 채널이 변화되었을 경우 채널변화가 사건으로 기억된다. 다음으로, 채널 고정 상태가 변화하였는가를 판단하여야 한다.만일 변했다면, 채널 고정 상태로 되었는지 또는 채널 고정 상태로부터 벗어난 상태인지에 따라 사건이 기억된다. 발광 다이오드는, 원격 유니트가 채널 고정 상태에 있을때마다 발광 다이오드가 ON 상태로 되도록, 채널 고정 상태에 있을때 제어된다. 원격 유니트가 채널 고정 상태에 있을때에 사건이 기억될때마다, 발광 다이오드는 약 1초간 명멸하여 시청자로 하여금 채널 고정 상태에서 원격 유니트가 사건을 기억하는 것을 표시해 준다.
제7도에 대해 설명하면, 원격 유니트의 클록 서크루틴이 도시되었는데, 이 루틴은 VIA 카운트 다운 회로(53)를 통해 60헬쯔 전원 공급선에 의해 본질적으로 작용하는 인터럽트이다. 본 발명의 이 실시예에 따르면, 최전 속도는 1헬쯔이고, 최고 속도는 20헬쯔이다. 클록 루틴은 일시를 갱신하고, 그 날의 마지막에 검사한다. 클록루틴은 아날로그 루틴을 호출하여 아날로그 스위치(44),(47)를 통해 각각의 인터럽트에 대해 변환기들을 교체한다.
클록 서브루틴중의 제1판단 블록은 변환기들이 인에이블 상태인지 아닌지를 결정한다. 여기에서 변환기들은 아날로그-디지탈 변환기(45) 및 디지탈-아날로그 변환기(46)를 지칭한 것이다. 이들이 인에이블 되었다면, 그것은 원격 유니트가 유선 변환기 상태를 검사하고 있는 상태임을 의미한다.

  1. 한 중앙국과, 다수의 시청자 위치에 있고 텔레비죤 방송 수상기에 연결되는 다수의 원격 유니트들을 포함한 가입 시청자들의 습관을 감시하기 위한 시스템에 있어서, 텔레비죤 방송 신호를 수신하는 수신 수단과 채널 고정 위치에서 그 위치와 관련된 텔레비죤 방송 수상기가 채널 선택기에서의 뒤이은 어떤 변환에도 불구하고 현재 선택된 채널에 고정되도록 상기 수신 수단에 결합되어 있으며, 채널 고정 및 비고정 위치에서 동작가능한 채널 고정 스위치와 채널 선택기를 가진 시청자 제어 수단과 마이크로 프로세서와 : 상기 마이크로 프로세서용 프로그램정보 및 데이타를 기억하는 메모리 수단과 : 일시 정보를 발생시키는 시간 수단과 : 상기 마이크로 프로세서가 채널 선택기의 변화와 채널 고정 스위치의 상태를 감시하여 그 결과를 일시 정보와 함께 상기 메모리 수단에 기억시키도록 상기 마이크로 프로세서를 통해 텔레비죤 방송 수상기에 상기 시청자 제어 수단을 결합하는 결합수단과 : 마이크로 프로세서의 제어로 그 마이크로 프로세서에 결합되며, 비전용 전화 회로망을 연결하는 모댐과 : 각각의 원격 유니트에 대해 독특한 식별 신호를 설정하되, 그러한 식별 신호가 각각의 원격 유니트에 대해 특유의 미리 선택된 내부 호출시간에 대응되도록 그 식별신호를 설정하는 레지스터 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 감시 시스템의 원격유니트.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수신 수단은 유선 변환기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 감시 시스템의 원격 유니트.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 메모리 수단은 채널 대체 테이블을 포함하며, 이 채널 대체 테이블의 내용은 상기한 중앙국에서 원격 유니트까지의 독특한 내부 호출시간의 통신도중에 로우드되며, 상기 마이크로 프로세서에 의해 제어되는 채널 선택은 시청자가 수동으로 선택한 채널에 관계없이 상기 채널 대체 테이블에 따라 미리 선택된 시간에 대체 채널 선택을 행하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 감시 시스템의 원격 유니트.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 채널 선택 대체 테이블은 대체 채널 선택용의 미리 선택된 일시 정보를 포함하고, 마이크로 프로세서는 미리 선택된 일시 정보에 따라 대체 채널 선택을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 감시 시스템의 원격 유니트.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 텔레비죤 방송 신호내에 포함된 제어 신호를 검출하기 위해 텔레비죤 방송 신호를 수신하기 위한 수신 수단에 결합되는 제어 신호 검출기를 추가로 포함하고, 상기 대체 채널 선택은 텔레비죤 방송 신호에 대한 제어 신호 발생에 따라서 미리 선택된 시간에 이뤄지는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비죤 시청자 습관 감시 시스템의 원격 유니트.
