This invention relates to corner mounts or pockets primarily adapted to receive cards, photographs, postage stamps or printed mat tor for display or preservation on a flat surface such as on a blank card, album or other medium employed for the same or a similar purpose.

One of the objects of my invention is to provide a corner mount or pocket of trans 1o parent paper or linen gummed on one surface and capable of being folded to produce a pocket for the reception of the corner of a card, photograph, stamp or other flat object.

More specifically my invention relates to corner mounts or pockets for photographs and the like capable of being manufactured in strip form for use in connection with an album leaf, wall or card, said mounts or pockets being detachable from the endless 0 strip and utilized when and where desired.

To enable others skilled in the art to more fully comprehend the underlying features of my invention that the same may be more readily understood for its universal application generally, drawings depicting preferred forms are annexed hereto in which Fig.1 is a view showing one form of the invention, in strip form.

Fig.3 is a view showing the folded mount or pocket.

Fig. 1 is a view showing the mount or pocket in relation to the corner of a photograph, card, stamp or other fiat object.

Referring now to the drawings wherein like reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, 5 designates an endless strip of transparent paper or linen capable of being manufactured in the form of a roll 6, wrapped, packed and sold in package form. Each rectangular division is divided or creased along a line 9 producing a substantially square body portion 11 and an overlapping square 12 which is also creased di agonally along the line 13'forming two overlapping triangles 14, 15. The body portion 11 is cut to provide a top flap 16 which is creased along the line 17 and adapted to be folded over with its gummed or adhesive surface exposed. Consequently, when the overlapping square and particularly the triangular portion 1a is folded over on the top flap, it adheres thereto when the gum or adhesive is moistened. By moistening the rear gumined or adhesive surface 7 of the triangle portion 15, and then folding it rearwardly on the line 13, back toback with triangular portion 14, the said triangles form a double thickness producing a triangular corner pocket 19for the reception of the corner. of a card, photograph, stamp or other fiat object 20. The top flap 16 adheres to the top of the double thickness or triangular portions 1 1, .15 which form the pocket.

In Figs; 5 and 6 showing a modified form of the invention, it will be noted that the endless strip 21' is also in a roll package form. As shown similar to Fig. 1, one face of the endless strip 21 is coated with gum or adhesive and divided by heavy perforated lines 23 whereby each section or block maybe detached from the said roll. Each block is cut by two diagonal slits 24, 25 forming a band 26 across the central portion of the block and beneath which the corner of a card, photograph, stamp or other object 27 may be positioned in the manner shown by Fig. 6.

While I have shown and described the corner mount or pocket as formed in an endless roll or strip, it will be also understood that it may be manufactured in sections of four mounts or pockets usually required for each object. I therefore do not wish to be limited or restricted to the exact details or uses above set forth but reserve the right to make such changes, modifications and alterations as may fairly fall within the scope of the subject matter being claimed.

Having shown and described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having an adhesive surface, one of said bodies being creased and fastened to the top of the other body to provide an open pocket.

2. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having a gummed surface, one of said bodies being creased and folded over on itself and fastened to the top of the other body to provide an open pocket.

3. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having an adhesive surface, one of said bodies being creased diagonally on itself, the other body having a gummed flap to which the creased body is fastened to provide an open pocket.

4. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having an adhesive surface, the bottom one of said bodies having a top flap folded over on itself and the top body being creased diagonally on itself and folded over to said flap to provide an open pocket.

5. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having an adhesive surface, the bottom one of said bodies having a narrow top flap folded over on itself and the top body being creased diagonally forming two similar triangular portions folded over on itself to the face of said flap to provide an open pocket.

6. A corner pocket comprising two overlapping bodies each having an adhesive surface, the bottom one of said bodies having a narrow top flap folded over on itself and the top body being creased diagonally from corner to corner forming twosimilar triangles producing a double ply when fastened to each other, said double ply being adapted to be folded over on the first mentioned body and attached to the top flap forming an open pocket.

7. An article of manufacture comprising a strip perforated at intervals to provide a plurality of similar detachable sections, each of said sections being divided or creased to form a top body and a bottom body, said top body having an adhesive surface and creased diagonally to be folded back on itself, and a top flap on the bottom body to which the folded top body is adapted to be attached forming an open pocket.
