- U.S. Pat. No. 5,025,524, issued to Genovese, Jr., discloses a disposable toilet seat wipe apparatus which includes a pre-moistened, cleansing pad within a carrying container having a pair of component sections separable from one another by pull-apart action.
- U.S. Pat. No. 4,998,984, issued to McClendon, discloses a prepackaged single use disposable wiper pad or towelette that is saturated with a disinfecting liquid.
- The present invention is that of a new and improved toilet seat wipe that will allow a user to effectively clean and sanitize a toilet seat before use. The toilet seat wipe would measure approximately four inches by six inches and would be impregnated with a disinfecting cleaning solution. It would be used to wipe any surface in a public restroom, especially the toilet seat, and then flushed away.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of a hygienic wipe in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are, of course, additional features of the hygienic wipe that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the hygienic wipe in detail, it is to be understood that the hygienic wipe is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The hygienic wipe is capable of other embodiments and being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of descriptions and should not be regarded as limiting.
- As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the hygienic wipe. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
- It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a hygienic wipe which has all of the advantages of the prior art and none of the disadvantages.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a hygienic wipe which may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a hygienic wipe which is of durable and reliable construction.
- It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a hygienic wipe which is economically affordable and available for relevant purchasing government entities.
- Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment when considered with the attached drawings and appended claims.
- FIG. 1 shows a front view of a toilet seat wipe of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a front view of the packaging of the present invention.
- A priority date of Sep. 8, 2000, is hereby claimed due to the filing of provisional application No. 60/231237 on Sep. 8, 2000.
- FIG. 1 shows a front view of a

Thetoilet seat wipe 2 would eliminate harmful bacteria and would be conveniently flushed away after use. It would measure approximately four inches by six inches and would be impregnated with a disinfecting cleaning solution in a quick-drying alcohol base. - The toilet seat wipe would be folded to fit into the
packaging 6, shown in FIG. 2, which would measure approximately two inches by two inches. After use, toilet seat wipe 2 andpackaging 6 can be disposed of in the toilet and flushed away. -
Toilet seat wipe 2 would preferably be manufactured from a pliable, permeable paper material. Using this type of paper material would allowtoilet seat wipe 2 to absorb and retain the disinfecting cleaning solution in a quick-drying alcohol base for an indefinite amount of time while in anunopened packaging 6.
