Abstract
An exercising device includes a support frame, a pivot unit, a footrest, a backrest bar, and two armrests. The exercising device can be swiveled leftward and rightward and can be pivoted upward and downward. In addition, the user can practice the skill of upside down. Thus, the user can exercise his feet, back and waist.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to an exercising device, and more particularly to an exercising device that can be swiveled horizontally and pivoted vertically simultaneously.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional exercising device can provide a body exercising effect. For example, the swivel device can be swiveled leftward and rightward, and the pivot device can be pivoted upward and downward. In addition, the user can practice the skill of upside down by an upside-down device. However, the conventional exercising device can only provide a single body exercising effect, thereby limiting the versatility of the conventional exercising device.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising device that can be swiveled leftward and rightward.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising device that can be pivoted upward and downward.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising device, wherein the user can practice the skill of upside down.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising device, wherein the user can exercise his feet, back and waist.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an exercising device, comprising a support frame, a pivot unit, a footrest, wherein:
- the support frame includes a front stand, a rear stand pivotally connected with the front stand, and a pivot shaft pivotally mounted between the front stand and the rear stand;
- the pivot unit is pivotally mounted on the support frame and includes an operation lever pivotally mounted on the pivot shaft of the support frame, and a threaded swivel shaft rotatably mounted on the operation lever; and
- the footrest is mounted on the pivot unit and includes a fixed section having a first end secured on an upper end of the swivel shaft of the pivot unit to rotate therewith, and a movable section having a first end movably mounted in the fixed section and a second end protruded outward from a second end of the fixed section.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 9 is a schematic side plan operational view of the exercising device as shown inFIG. 1 in use. - Referring to the drawings and initially to
FIGS. 1-5 , anexercising device 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises asupport frame 11, apivot unit 12, afootrest 13, abackrest bar 14, and twoarmrests 15. - The
support frame 11 is substantially inverted V-shaped, and includes afront stand 111, arear stand 112 pivotally connected with thefront stand 111, and apivot shaft 113 pivotally mounted between thefront stand 111 and therear stand 112. Thefront stand 111 of thesupport frame 11 is substantially U-shaped, and has an upper end provided with atube 114 having a mediate portion formed with an opening 115. Therear stand 112 of thesupport frame 11 is substantially U-shaped, and has an upper end provided with twoopposite mounting tubes 116 each mounted on thetube 114 of thefront stand 111 and provided with acrossbar 117 located below the twomounting tubes 116. Thecrossbar 117 has a mediate portion provided with astop block 119. Therear stand 112 of thesupport frame 11 is provided with twoopposite mounting sleeves 118. Thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11 is extended through the twomounting tubes 116 of therear stand 112 and thetube 114 of thefront stand 111. - The
pivot unit 12 is pivotally mounted on thesupport frame 11, and includes anoperation lever 121 pivotally mounted on thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11, and a threadedswivel shaft 124 rotatably mounted on theoperation lever 121. Theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 is located in the opening 115 of thetube 114 of thefront stand 111 and is formed with atransverse hole 121 b for passage of thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11. Theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 has a mediate portion formed with ashaft hole 121 a for passage of theswivel shaft 124. - The
footrest 13 is mounted on thepivot unit 12 and includes afixed section 131 having a first end secured on an upper end of theswivel shaft 124 of thepivot unit 12 to rotate therewith, and amovable section 132 having a first end movably mounted in thefixed section 131 and a second end protruded outward from a second end of thefixed section 131. Thefootrest 13 further includes aseat plate 134 secured on the first end of thefixed section 131. Thefootrest 13 further includes an arc-shaped connectingseat 138 secured on the second end of themovable section 132, and afootrest seat 133 secured on the connectingseat 138 by a plurality ofscrew members 139. The second end of thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 has a top formed with apositioning hole 135, themovable section 132 of thefootrest 13 has a top formed with a plurality of threaded adjusting holes 137, and thefootrest 13 further includes a threaded adjustingmember 136 extended through thepositioning hole 135 of thefixed section 131 and screwed into a respective one of the adjusting holes 137 of themovable section 132. - The
pivot unit 12 further includes an upper bearing 122 mounted on theswivel shaft 124 and located between thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 and theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12, anut 125 screwed on a lower end of theswivel shaft 124, and alower bearing 123 mounted on theswivel shaft 124 and located between theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 and thenut 125. - Each of the upper bearing 122 and the
lower bearing 123 includes a mounting ring d, a fixing race f secured on the mounting ring d, and a ball ring e mounted between the mounting ring d and the fixing race f. - The
operation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 has a first end formed with athrough hole 121 c, the first end of thefixed section 131 has a bottom formed with a threadedlocking hole 1310, and thepivot unit 12 further includes a threadedfixing member 126 extended through the throughhole 121 c of theoperation lever 121 and screwed into thelocking hole 1310 of thefixed section 131, so that thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 is fixed on theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12. The operation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 has a second end that can be pivoted to abut thestop block 119 of thesupport frame 11. - The
backrest bar 14 is substantially L-shaped, and has a horizontal section secured on thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 by afixing member 142 and a vertical section provided with abackrest 141. - Each of the two
armrests 15 is mounted on therear stand 112 of thesupport frame 11 and has a lower end inserted into a respective one of the twomounting sleeves 118. - In operation, referring to
FIGS. 6 and 7 with reference toFIGS. 1-5 , thefixing member 126 of thepivot unit 12 is unscrewed from thelocking hole 1310 of thefixed section 131, so that thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 is released from theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12. Then, theswivel shaft 124 can be rotated on theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12, so that thefixed section 131 and theseat plate 134 of thefootrest 13 can be swiveled on theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 theswivel shaft 124, thereby achieving the effect of exercising the user's feet and waist. - Referring to
FIG. 8 with reference toFIGS. 1-5 , thefixing member 126 of thepivot unit 12 is screwed into thelocking hole 1310 of thefixed section 131, so that thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13 is fixed on and combined with theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12. Thus, thefixed section 131 and theseat plate 134 of thefootrest 13 and theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 can be pivoted about thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11, thereby achieving the effect of exercising the user's feet, back and waist. - Referring to
FIG. 9 with reference toFIGS. 1-5 , thebackrest bar 14 is removed from thefixed section 131 of thefootrest 13. Then, thefixed section 131 and theseat plate 134 of thefootrest 13 and theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 can be pivoted about thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11 until the second end of theoperation lever 121 of thepivot unit 12 is rested on thestop block 119 of thesupport frame 11, so that thefootrest seat 133 of thefootrest 13 is located higher than thepivot shaft 113 of thesupport frame 11, thereby facilitating the user practicing the skill of upside down. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
Claims (18)
1. An exercising device, comprising a support frame, a pivot unit, a footrest, wherein:
the support frame includes a front stand, a rear stand pivotally connected with the front stand, and a pivot shaft pivotally mounted between the front stand and the rear stand;
the pivot unit is pivotally mounted on the support frame and includes an operation lever pivotally mounted on the pivot shaft of the support frame, and a threaded swivel shaft rotatably mounted on the operation lever; and
the footrest is mounted on the pivot unit and includes a fixed section having a first end secured on an upper end of the swivel shaft of the pivot unit to rotate therewith, and a movable section having a first end movably mounted in the fixed section and a second end protruded outward from a second end of the fixed section.
2. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the support frame is substantially inverted V-shaped.
3. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the front stand of the support frame is substantially U-shaped, and has an upper end provided with a tube having a mediate portion formed with an opening, and the operation lever of the pivot unit is located in the opening of the tube of the front stand.
4. The exercising device in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the rear stand of the support frame is substantially U-shaped, and has an upper end provided with two opposite mounting tubes each mounted on the tube of the front stand and provided with a crossbar located below the two mounting tubes.
5. The exercising device in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the crossbar has a mediate portion provided with a stop block.
6. The exercising device in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the pivot shaft of the support frame is extended through the two mounting tubes of the rear stand and the tube of the front stand.
7. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the operation lever of the pivot unit is formed with a transverse hole for passage of the pivot shaft of the support frame.
8. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the operation lever of the pivot unit has a mediate portion formed with a shaft hole for passage of the swivel shaft.
9. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the footrest further includes a seat plate secured on the first end of the fixed section.
10. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the footrest further includes an arc-shaped connecting seat secured on the second end of the movable section, and a footrest seat secured on the connecting seat by a plurality of screw members.

The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the second end of the fixed section of the footrest has a top formed with a positioning hole, the movable section of the footrest has a top formed with a plurality of threaded adjusting holes, and the footrest further includes a threaded adjusting member extended through the positioning hole of the fixed section and screwed into a respective one of the adjusting holes of the movable section.

The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the pivot unit further includes an upper bearing mounted on the swivel shaft and located between the fixed section of the footrest and the operation lever of the pivot unit, a nut screwed on a lower end of the swivel shaft, and a lower bearing mounted on the swivel shaft and located between the operation lever of the pivot unit and the nut.
13. The exercising device in accordance with claim 12 , wherein each of the upper bearing and the lower bearing includes a mounting ring, a fixing race secured on the mounting ring, and a ball ring mounted between the mounting ring and the fixing race.

The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the operation lever of the pivot unit has a first end formed with a through hole, the first end of the fixed section has a bottom formed with a threaded locking hole, and the pivot unit further includes a threaded fixing member extended through the through hole of the operation lever and screwed into the locking hole of the fixed section, so that the fixed section of the footrest is fixed on the operation lever of the pivot unit.
15. The exercising device in accordance with claim 5 , wherein the operation lever of the pivot unit has a second end that can be pivoted to abut the stop block of the support frame.
16. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , further comprising a substantially L-shaped backrest bar having a horizontal section secured on the fixed section of the footrest by a fixing member and a vertical section provided with a backrest.
17. The exercising device in accordance with claim 1 , further comprising two armrests each mounted on the rear stand of the support frame.
18. The exercising device in accordance with claim 17 , wherein the rear stand of the support frame is provided with two opposite mounting sleeves, and each of the two armrests has a lower end inserted into a respective one of the two mounting sleeves.
