Abstract
A lounge chair elevator for elevating the height of a lounge chair is disclosed. The lounge chair includes horizontally elongated leg supports. The lounge chair elevator includes a support frame and a utility platform structure having a predefined height from the ground level to accommodate the lounge chair. The support frame includes an engaging arrangement to receive the horizontally elongated legs supports of the lounge chair to elevate the height of the lounge chair as per the height of the support frame 100 from the ground level. The utility platform structure may adjustably be coupled to the support frame to be adjusted at varying distances from the support frame.

- The present disclosure generally relates to a furniture accessory, and, more particularly, to a lounge chair elevator to elevate the height of a lounge chair above a deck railing to provide obstacle-free sight from the deck.
- Houses or hotels with beautiful sights from their decks are quite popular. More often than not, lounge chairs are place on the deck of the houses or hotels to seat and enjoy the sight form the deck. However, peripheries of the decks are generally covered with the railings from safety point of view to avoid any accidents from the decks. In such decks with railings, there may always be obstacle in the sight to viewers while seating on the lounge chair as lounge chairs may generally be of lower heights. Such obstacles due to the railings may irritate the viewers and results unpleasant stay at the house or hotels. Alternative may be to stand on the decks of the house or hotels and have the proper sight without obstacles, but that may be possible only for very shorter duration of the time otherwise for longer durations of the time such an exercise may be quite tiring, which viewers may ends up with unpleasant experience.
- Further, various chairs may be available in the market that may be used as an alternative to lounge chairs and have mechanism to extend the heights of the legs. However, users of such chairs may find such task of adjusting the heights of the legs cumbersome. Furthermore, such chairs may also be very costly due such adjusting mechanism installed on the legs of the chairs. Such chairs may also be complex in structure, and risky from the point of failure of such height adjusting mechanism.
- Accordingly, there exists a need for viewers to have obstacle-free sights from the decks of the house or hotels from the lounge chairs, without having to tire themselves by standing on the decks for the sight from the decks. Furthermore, there also exits a need to have a completely independent, simple and economical and risk-free system that may accommodate conventional lounge chairs to provide viewers obstacle-free sights from the decks of the house or hotels while seating on such conventional lounge chairs.
- This Summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the Detailed Description. This Summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor it is intended to be used to limit the scope of the claimed subject matter.
- In view of the stated drawbacks, the present disclosure discloses a lounge chair elevator that will be presented in the following simplified summary to provide a basic understanding of one or more aspects of the disclosure that are intended to overcome the discussed drawbacks, but to include all advantages thereof, along with providing some additional advantages. This summary is not an extensive overview of the disclosure. It is intended to neither identify key or critical elements of the disclosure, nor to delineate the scope of the present disclosure. - A general object of the present disclosure is to describe a lounge chair elevator for viewers to have obstacle-free sights from the decks of houses or hotels from conventional lounge chairs, without having to tire themselves by standing on the decks for the sight from the decks. Further object is to describe a lounge chair elevator that may be completely independent, simple and economical and risk-free and capable of accommodating conventional lounge chairs to provide viewers with obstacle-free sights from the decks of the house or hotels while seating on such conventional lounge chairs.
- In one aspect of the present disclosure a lounge chair elevator for elevating the height of a lounge chair is provided. The lounge chair includes horizontally elongated leg supports. The lounge chair elevator includes a support frame and a utility platform structure coupled thereto. The lounge chair elevator includes a predefined height from the ground level to accommodate the lounge chair. The support frame includes an engaging arrangement to receive the horizontally elongated legs supports of the lounge chair to elevate the height of the lounge chair as per the height of the support frame from the ground level. The utility platform structure may adjustably be coupled to the support frame to be adjusted at varying distances from the support frame.
- In an embodiment, the support frame may include a pair of panel structure spaced from each other in horizontal and vertical planes, and arranged to define left and right sides of the support frame. As such, the pair of panel structure and the engaging arrangement in one example form may be configured to each other. Furthermore, front and back panel structures are provided in spaced-apart manner and coupled to proximal ends of the pair of panel structure forming the support frame.
- In an embodiment, each panel structure may include a pair of engaging modules and a pair of elongated body. Each of the engaging modules includes upper end portions and opposite lower end portions. Further, the pair of elongated body may be coupled to the pair of engaging modules.
- In an embodiment, the engaging arrangement may include a recessed area formed along upper end portions of each of the pair of engaging modules to receive the horizontally elongated legs supports of the lounge chair at the predetermined heights.
- Further, in an example embodiment, the pair of elongated body may be spaced from each other in a vertical plane to define a space ‘S’ therebetween. The upper spaced elongated body from distal end portions thereof may be coupled with the pair of engaging modules along the upper end portions. Further, the lower spaced elongated body from distal end portions thereof may be coupled with the pair of engaging modules along the lower end portions.
- In an embodiment, the utility platform structure may include a slidable engagement having a bracket and a complementary bracket. The bracket may extend along the support frame and be supported along the upper spaced elongated body of the pair of panel structures. Further, the complementary bracket may slidably be engaged with the bracket to be slid thereupon to be adjusted at varying distances from the support frame. The slidable engagement may further include a supporting log disposed below and parallel to the complementary bracket at a distance therefrom. The supporting log is slidable along the space ‘S’ of the elongated body upon sliding of the complementary bracket over the bracket.
- In an embodiment, the utility platform structure may further include a platform arrangement. The platform arrangement may be engaged with the slidable engagement. The platform arrangement may further include a vertical elongated pole releasably engaged with the slidable engagement holes coaxially configured along the complementary bracket and the supporting log. Further, a platform may be disposed over the vertical elongated pole.
- In an embodiment, the platform arrangement further comprises a utility holder coupled to or formed along the platform.
- In an embodiment, the lounge chair elevator may further include a supporting protrusion coupled to the support frame to support the lounge chair's front extended leg.

Thelounge chair elevator 1000 may also include leg structure including avertical legs 16 slantedly extending from downside of theseat cushion 12, and horizontally elongated leg supports 18 between thevertical legs 16 to form substantially U-shaped leg structure.Such lounge chair 10 may also include a frontextended support leg 20 extending from theseat cushion 12 of thelounge chair 10. Thelounge chair 10 as depicted or described herein is only for describing the invention in its conjunction for better understanding of the invention while using, and not considered to be limiting to only such lounge chair configurations. Without departing from the scope of the present disclosure, the present invention may be capable of being used with any other types of lounge chair configuration. - As depicted in
FIG. 1 , thelounge chair 10 is accommodated in thelounge chair elevator 1000, wherein it height is extended from the ground level up to a level of the height of thelounge chair elevator 1000 for viewers to have obstacle-free sights from a deck ‘D’ of houses or hotels due to railing ‘Ra,’ which otherwise would have been full of obstacles due the railing ‘Ra’. Any viewer may seat on thehorizontal seat cushion 12 and rest his/her back on theback rest 14 and can enjoy the view from the deck ‘D.’ In an example embodiment, thelounge chair elevator 1000 may be made of a material selected from a group comprising wood, metal, or plastic to provide strength and durability to the structure of thelounge chair elevator 1000. - Referring now to
FIGS. 2A to 3B , which will be described in conjunction toFIG. 1 , to explain thelounge chair elevator 1000 in an example embodiment. Thelounge chair elevator 1000, in an example, may include asupport frame 100 and autility platform structure 300 having a predefined height from the ground level to accommodate thelounge chair 10. Thesupport frame 100, as can be seen in the exampleFIGS. 2A and 2B , includes anengaging arrangement 200 to receive the horizontally elongated legs supports 12 of thelounge chair 10 to elevate the height of thelounge chair 10 as per the height of thesupport frame 100 from the ground level. Theutility platform structure 300 may adjustably be coupled to thesupport frame 100 to be adjusted at varying distances from thesupport frame 100. - The
support frame 100, for example, may include a pair of 110, 120 spaced from each other in horizontal and vertical planes, and arranged to define left ‘L’ and right ‘B’ sides of thepanel structure support frame 100. Furthermore,front 130 and back 140 panel structures are provided in spaced-apart manner and coupled to proximal ends of the pair of 110, 120 forming thepanel structure support frame 100. - In an example, each
110, 120 may include a pair of engagingpanel structure 112, 122 and a pair ofmodules 116, 126. Each of the engagingelongated body 112, 122 includesmodules 112 a, 122 a and oppositeupper end portions lower end portions 112 b, 124 b. Further, the pair of 116, 126 may be coupled to the pair of engagingelongated body 112, 122.modules - In an example, as such, the pair of
110, 120 and thepanel structure engaging arrangement 200 may be configured to each other. In such configuration, the engagingarrangement 200 may include a recessedarea 210 formed along 112 a, 122 a, of each of the pair of engagingupper end portions 112, 122 to receive the horizontally elongated legs supports 12 of themodules lounge chair 10 at the predetermined heights. - Further, in an example, the pair of
116, 126 may be spaced from each other in a vertical plane to define a space ‘S’ therebetween, as can be seen inelongated body FIG. 2B . As depicted inFIGS. 2A and 2B , the upper spacedelongated body 116 from distal end portions thereof may be coupled with the pair of engaging 112, 122 along themodules 112 a, 122 a. Further, the lower spacedupper end portions elongated body 126 from distal end portions thereof may be coupled with the pair of engaging 112, 122 along themodules 112 b, 122 b. Such a coupling between thelower end portions 116, 126 with the engaging modules defines the space ‘S’ between theelongated body 116, 126.elongate body - Further, in an example, as depicted in
FIGS. 3A and 3B respectively,front 130 and back 140 panel structures spaced-apart and coupled to the pair of 110, 120 of thepanel structure support frame 100 to provide rigidity to the overall structure of thelounge chair elevator 1000. Each of the front and 130, 140 may include a pair ofback panel structures 134, 144 coupled to the engagingelongated body 112, 122, which are also acting as legs of the overall structure. Themodules 134, 144 may be coupled to theelongated body modules 112, 124 similar to 110, 120, and description thereof is excluded herein for the sake of brevity. 1000. In an embodiment, thepanels lounge chair elevator 1000 may further includes a supportingprotrusion 150 coupled to thesupport frame 100 to support the lounge chair's 10 frontextended leg 20. As seen in exampleFIGS. 2B and 3A , the supportingprotrusion 150 may be coupled to thefront panel structure 130. - Referring now to example
FIGS. 4A to 4D , various components of theutility platform structure 300 is illustrated and will be described in conjunction toFIGS. 1 to 3B . For example,FIGS. 4A and 4B illustrate perspective views of portions of thelounge chair elevator 1000 depicting a platform arrangement of theplatform structure 300;FIG. 4C illustrates a bracket of the platform arrangement of theplatform structure 300; andFIG. 4D illustrates a utility holder of theplatform structure 300, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. - As depicted in example
FIGS. 4A-4C ,platform 300 may include aslidable engagement 310 having abracket 312 and acomplementary bracket 314. Thebracket 312 may extend along thesupport frame 100 and be supported along the upper spacedelongated body 116 of the pair of 110, 120. Further, thepanel structures complementary bracket 314 may slidably be engaged with thebracket 312 to be slid thereupon to be adjusted at varying distances from thesupport frame 100. Theslidable engagement 310 may further include a supportinglog 316 disposed below and parallel to thecomplementary bracket 314 at a distance therefrom. The supporting log is slidable along the space ‘S’ of the 116, 126 upon sliding of theelongated body complementary bracket 314 over thebracket 312. - In an embodiment, the
utility platform structure 300 may further include aplatform arrangement 320 having aplatform 316 coupled thereto. Theplatform arrangement 320 may be engaged with theslidable engagement 310. Theplatform arrangement 320 may further includes a verticalelongated pole 322 releasably engaged with the slidable engagement holes 324, as seen in exampleFIG. 4C , coaxially configured along thecomplementary bracket 314 and the supportinglog 316. Further, theplatform 326 may be disposed over the verticalelongated pole 322. - Furthermore, as seen in example
FIG. 4D , theplatform arrangement 320 may include autility holder 328 coupled to or formed along theplatform 326. Theutility holder 326 may be utilized for holding any utensils therein. - The
lounge chair elevator 1000 may be advantageous in various ways. The lounge chair elevator provides viewers to have obstacle-free sights from the decks of houses or hotels from conventional lounge chairs. The lounge chair elevator may be independent and simple as well as economical and risk-free. The lounge chair elevator may be capable of accommodating conventional lounge chairs to provide viewers with obstacle-free sights from the decks of the house or hotels while seating on such conventional lounge chairs without have need of extending the height of the lounges chairs having height extending arrangement. - The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present disclosure have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present disclosure to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The embodiments were chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present disclosure and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the present disclosure and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. It is understood that various omission and substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstance may suggest or render expedient, but such are intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the claims of the present disclosure.
Claims (12)
1. A lounge chair elevator for elevating the height of a lounge chair having horizontally elongated leg supports, the lounge chair elevator comprising:
a support frame having a predefined height from the ground level to accommodate the lounge chair, the support frame including an engaging arrangement to receive the horizontally elongated leg supports of the lounge chair to elevate the height of the lounge chair as per the height of the support frame from the ground level; and
an utility platform structure adjustably coupled to the support frame to be adjusted at varying distances from the support frame.
2. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the support frame comprises:
a pair of panel structure spaced from each other in horizontal and vertical planes, and arranged to define left and right sides of the support frame, the pair of panel structure and the engaging arrangement being configured to each other; and
front and back panel structures spaced-apart and coupled to the pair of panel structure of the support frame.
3. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 2 , wherein each panel structure comprises:
a pair of engaging modules each of the engaging module includes upper end portions and opposite lower end portions; and
a pair of elongated body coupled to the pair of engaging modules.
4. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the engaging arrangement comprises recessed area formed along upper end portions of each of the pair of engaging modules to receive the horizontally elongated leg supports of the lounge chair at the predetermined heights.
5. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the pair of elongated body are spaced from each other in a vertical plane to define a space therebetween, wherein the upper spaced elongated body from distal end portions thereof is coupled with the pair of engaging modules along the upper end portions and the lower spaced elongated body 126 from distal end portions thereof is coupled with the pair of engaging modules along the lower end portions.
6. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the utility platform structure comprising a slidable engagement having:
a bracket extending along the support frame and supported along the upper spaced elongated body of the pair of panel structures; and
a complementary bracket slidably engaged with the bracket to be slid thereupon to be adjusted at varying distances from the support frame.
7. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the slidable engagement further comprises:
a supporting log disposed below and parallel to the complementary bracket at a distance therefrom, wherein the supporting log is slidable along the space of the elongated body upon sliding of the complementary bracket over the bracket.
8. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the utility platform structure further comprising a platform arrangement engaged with the slidable engagement.
9. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the platform arrangement further comprises:
a vertical elongated pole releasable engaged with the slidable engagement holes coaxially configured along the complementary bracket and the supporting log; and
a platform disposed over the vertical elongated pole.
10. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the platform arrangement further comprises:
a utility holder coupled to or formed along the platform.
11. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a supporting protrusion coupled to the support frame to support the lounge chair's front extended leg.
12. The lounge chair elevator as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lounge chair elevator is of a material selected from a group comprising wood, metal or plastic.
