IMPROVEMENT IN BAG-HOLDERS.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Bo it known that I, L. II. GANO, of the 'city and county of Milwztukee,'n.nd State of Wisconsin, have invented a new 1nd useful Improvement in BegI-Ioldcrs; and I do hereby declare that the following is zi. full, oleztr, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the seme, reforcnC-e being had to the accompanying drawings, forming. pnrt'of this specification, in which- Figure l is a. perspective view of the bugholder adjusted for use.

The object of my invention is to enable one person, without other nid, to bug `min or other materiel in :tn expeditions manner. l

Operai-ion..

.First adjust the machine for use by depressing erin C, placing the foot of support F in the lower notch on standard B; then attach the mouth of the beg to jnws by ineens of mete-l jews E, which are to be inside of the mouth of the beg, and holding it firm-ly in the-rebate of jews D. Then fill the bog to the top in thut position. Then mise the jaws D till the bug is ex tended to its full height,-witb its lower end on the platform A. In lifting jaws D :trui C turns on joint H, and the lower end of support F, which is :tttnched to arm C at ite upper end by a. hinge, is held against standard B by spring G, so that it catches in notches K, and supports verm C et, any point required, to accommodate any length of bag.

When the bug-holder is not in use it maybe folded up, :ts shown in iig. 2, by turning arm C on joint ,il over to the back side of standard B, joint H boing mede, by :Jslot on the end of a-rm C, long-enough to let the :mn pass over the standard, and connected by a bolt.- Platform A is folded beck on joint I in same manner,

which folds the beg-holder into a. compnet form to be moved from one place to another, or hung up out of the wey.

What I claim as myv invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- 1. Platform A, upright standard B, and adjustable erm C, in combination, to fold up substantially as and for the purpose described. l

2. Arm C, with jews D, metal jews E, support F, and spring G, in combination substantially es and for the purpose described.
