Be it known that I, CARL I-I. SGHUBEUS, of Newark, in the county of Essenyand State oflew Jersey, have invented on Improved Travelling-Beg Lock; and I do herehy'deelare that the following is n. full nndexaet description et' the seme, reference being hed to theaccompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. When the bolt K, Figure 2, is no t turned by the'key under the shoulder Ii, the knob may be pressed dow'n and the Catch liberated without the use of the key.v So also it may he sprung shut, when desirable, in common use. The key on the stem M slides the spring-bolt K to the right, as seen in iig. 2, which is a. buck view of the inside of the lock, and the wide part N ofthe bolt slips under the shoulder Ii, and prevents the knob being pressed down or the bag being opened.

Figure 3 shows the bolt in this position. 'lhe platte O onI the bottom of the lock allows it to he attached to frames where the two pieces come together, or where the one slips inside of the other.
