TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

- Be it known that I, GEORGE WILKINSON, of the city and county of Providence, and State of Rhode Island, have originated a new Design for Articles of Silver and other Metals and Plated Ware, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying specimens or drawings making part of this specification, that is to say, for a design called the Ivy, for the handles of forks, spoons, and other table-ware and implements.

The said handle, as represented in said drawings, has a round stem or shaft, It, a collar, 0, near the point of intersection with the fork, spoon, or other-shaped implement of the kind intended, a collar 8, at the other extremity of the said stem, out of which springs a hasp,f, from which expands the blade B, of the peculiar form of outline shown, with a scale or plate, m, extending across it, said blade on the front being ornamented with a sprig of ivy, t, from which the said design derives its name.

Claim. I claim the design for the handles of forks, spoons, &c., substantially as herein represented and described.
