As a result, a further barrier to access/abuse is obtained.
  • the sensor's/sensors' output signal (odour - possibly coded odour composition) is compared with a reference code for the person concerned entered/programmed in the control system's computer.
  • the sensor/sensors also signal whether the scent/odour print emanates from live skin by pressing a part of the body such as a finger against the input/ reading section of the sensor/sensors. If the odour print emanates from live skin and not from a dummy, and if the scent/odour of the person concerned corresponds to the scent/odour composition registered in the computer memory, the computer signals approval of the identification.

Abstract

Procédé permettant d'identifier une personne afin de lui donner accès à une installation informatique, par exemple une installation informatique appartenant à une société, une institution ou une administration, ainsi qu'aux locaux de ces dernières ou à des établissements à activité confidentielle, ou à des bâtiments, des entrepôts etc. réservés à une ou plusieurs personnes, et enfin à des équipements et installations, par exemple des appareils téléphoniques, des armes etc. La présente invention est caractérisée en ce que l'odeur caractéristique de la personne est détectée par au moins un détecteur, dont le signal de sortie est utilisé pour identifier une personne potentiellement autorisée à entrer et éventuellement aussi pour l'entregistrer. Le signal de sortie est comparé avec une valeur de contrôle entrée dans la fonction de contrôle informatisée et, si elle correspond à ladite valeur, l'identification est validée. Pour accorder l'accès, on peut également faire confirmer par un détecteur qu'une empreinte provient bien de la peau d'une personne.
