Abstract

Matériau d'empaquetage non rigide, perméable à la vapeur et imperméable aux bactéries. Ledit matériau est composé d'une feuille non rigide, résistante à la vapeur et imperméable aux bactéries ayant au moins une ouverture traversant d'une surface à l'autre et comportant une membrane perméable à la vapeur et imperméable aux bactéries qui couvre ladite ouverture et est fixée sur la surface de la feuille sur le pourtour de l'ouverture. Ledit matériau d'empaquetage est capable de résister aux cycles de stérilisation à la vapeur à 132 °C (270 °C) pendant 15 minutes sans se gondoler ou rétrécir, ce qui compromettrait l'apparence ou l'intégrité de l'emballage ou la nature stérile de son contenu. Ledit matériau d'empaquetage peut également être utile pour d'autres techniques de stérilisation telles que celles utilisant l'oxyde d'éthylène, les radiations et l'ozone. Des emballages complets fabriqués avec ce matériau sont décrits, ainsi que les composants de ces emballages tels que plateaux et couvercles. Des composants d'emballages et les emballages complets fabriqués avec le seul matériau de membrane sont également décrits.
