Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un système de traitement d'images numériques qui sert à numériser et à stocker les images (421) d'un film photographique numérisé selon l'orientation dans laquelle elles ont été fixées sur le film, afin d'éliminer la nécessité de mettre physiquement en rotation l'analyseur de film par rapport au film pour les images verticales, ce qui permet ainsi de réduire considérablement la complexité et le coup de l'analyseur. En lieu et place, chaque fichier d'images stockées (421) comporte un fichier de commande de présentation associé (422), lequel contient les informations relatives à l'orientation et au format d'images, de sorte que le dispositif d'image connaît la façon dont chaque image a été mémorisée sur la base de données servant de support aux images numériques, constitué par exemple par un disque compact. Lors de l'introduction du disque dans un dispositif de lecture en vue de mettre en marche un dispositif d'affichage de sortie, tel qu'un moniteur TV couleur, le dispositif de lecture est immédiatement capable de décoder les informations de commande de lecture pendant l'extraction de l'image numérisée, pour que l'image soit affichée selon une orientation droite et selon le format correct pour le dispositif d'affichage en question.
