Abstract

Des articles ayant une configuration géométrique complexe présentent un caractère hydrophile qui a été conféré à au moins une partie de leurs surfaces alors que leur configuration géométrique complexe a été essentiellement conservée. Le caractère hydrophile est conféré par une enveloppe extrêmement fine et à auto-enchevêtrement d'alcool polyvinylique hydrophile tactique qui enrobe les surfaces. On fait réagir in situ un précurseur d'alcool polyvinylique tactique appliqué sur les surfaces de la structure de support avec un réactif d'hydrolyse pour préparer l'enveloppe d'alcool polyvinylique tactique hydrophile. L'article possédant l'enveloppe hydrophile est extrêmement résistant au nettoyage par solvant. On peut conférer, de façon réversible, un caractère hydrophile et un caractère hydrophobe à des zones de surface spécifiques de l'article. L'invention concerne également des articles tels que des membranes utilisées comme filtres, couches d'arrêt de résidus pour dispositifs de galvanoplastie, séparateurs pour cellules électrochimiques et composants de dispositifs distributeurs de médicaments. Des membranes servant à former des images permanentes et non déformées ainsi que des procédés de préparation de telles images à partir de substances formant des images dans des milieux récepteurs sont aussi décrits. Des structures poreuses hydrophiles de support chargées avec un système enzymatique qui catalyse une réaction d'un substrat avec de l'oxygène, et si nécessaire de l'eau ou de l'humidité pour consumer l'oxygène, sont également décrites et utilisées pour éliminer l'oxygène dans des emballages contenant des produits sensibles à l'oxygène.
