It has principal application in CAD/CAM engineering i.e. computer aided design and computer aided modelling.

Abstract

Procédé de réalisation, à l'aide d'un appareil de modélisation assistée par ordinateur (MAO) d'outil servant à fabriquer des articles. Selon ledit procédé, une représentation bidimensionnelle ou tridimensionnelle de l'outil désiré est convertie par ledit appareil en données d'entrée lisibles par la machine. Les données sont stockées dans une mémoire dudit appareil, et sont interprétées ultérieurement par l'appareil de modélisation qui fait partie de l'appareil MAO, de façon à constituer un modèle de l'outil à partir d'un matériau approprié. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que le modèle de l'outil est réalisé sous forme de moule et que l'on coule directement l'outil requis dans le moule, à l'aide d'une composition polymérisable formant un solide qui présente une stabilité dimensionnelle considérable à des températures atteignant 500 °C.
