Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication du formiate de potassium par lequel le formiate de potassium est obtenu dans un appareil d'électrodialyse comprenant au moins une unité d'électrodialyse à quatre compartiments alternant membranes cationiques et anioniques, au moins une anode, et au moins une cathode. L'unité d'électrodialyse comporte trois membranes anioniques et deux membranes cationiques. Les membranes sont disposées parallèlement, la membrane anionique jouxtant tant l'anode que la cathode. Une solution aqueuse concentrée de sel de potassium est introduite dans le premier compartiment, une solution aqueuse diluée de sel de sodium dans le quatrième et une solution aqueuse concentrée de formiate de sodium dans le troisième compartiment. Une solution aqueuse concentrée de formiate de potassium est soutirée du deuxième compartiment et une solution aqueuse concentrée de sel de sodium est soutirée du quatrième compartiment. Les solutions obtenues résultent d'un échange d'ions au travers des membranes anioniques et cationiques.
