Abstract
The device according to the present invention consists of a cylindrical brush (1) rotating with the axis of the handle (4), with reversible rotation for allowing the cleaning of the teeth from top to bottom and vice versa, provided with means for the automatic operation, electric (5-7) or mechanic (11-12), housed in the handle (4).
Description
"A DEVICE WITH A CYLINDRICAL BRUSH, AUTOMATICALY ROTATING ON THE SAME AXIS WITH ITS HANDLE, FOR CLEANING TEETH"
The present invention concerns a device for cleaning teeth comprising a cylindrical brush rotating on the same axis with its handle, wherein the means for the automatic, electric and/or mechanic moving are housed.
It is already known that the best way for cleaning the teeth is the one of making the tooth-brush slide in vertical sense, reaching the interstices between one tooth and the other one, more than in horizontal sense, for avoiding the danger of scraping off the enamel of the teeth.
It is the aim of the present invention to make above mentioned, preferably vertical movement of the brush automatic with respect to the dental interstices.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, consisting of a cylindrical brush rotating with the axis of the handle, with reversible rotation for allowing to clean the teeth from top to bottom and vice versa, provided with means for the automatic, electric or mechanic operation, housed in the handle.
Said cylindrical brush according to the present invention has a sectorial protection structure , unremovable or fix, for protecting the internal mucous of the mouth near the teeth, during the rotation of the bristles .
The device according to the present invention will be described 'hereinbelow relating to the enclosed figures 1 to 3 .
Figure 1 shows an axonometric , external view of the device with a cylindrical brush , automatically rotating with the axis of the handle , for cleaning the teeth.
Figures 2 and 3 show a section of the automatic movement variations, electrical and mechanical .
Relating to the details of the figures, the device according to the present invention consists of :
- a cylindrical brush 1 with perimetrical bristles 2 rotating together with the central shaft 3 operated by the elements contained in the handle 4;
- a handle 4 for keeping said brush 1 in horizontal position during the phases of the teeth cleaning;
- a small electric motor 5 for operating the shaft 3 and therefore brush 1 , following to the electric
contact established, by means of the external switch 6, with the incorporated battery 7;
- an external functioning light 8 , placed in series to the battery 7 - switch 6 - motor 5 circuit;
- an eventual protection structure 9 having the shape of a wedge with cylindrical surface, unremovable or fix, pivoted onto the end part 10 of the brush 1 and onto the central shaft 3 , for preventing the irritation of the internal mucous of the user ' s mouth during the vertical brushing of the teeth.
In the variant according to figure 3 the rotation of the central motor shaft 3 is determined by an internal spring 11 , like a spiral spring or different, incorporated in the handle 4, loaded with a hand grip 12 and operated by the release system 13, provided on the surface of said handle.
It is obvious that the device according to the present invention, together with all its components, may show different shapes and dimension for the different users: the present invention is particularly meant for children to whom it will allow a better teeth cleaning.
Claims
A device with a cylindrical brush, automatically rotating with the axis of the handle, for the teeth cleaning, characterized in:
- a cylindrical brush (1) with perimetrical bristles
(2) rotating together with the central shaft (3) operated by the elements contained in the handle
(4);
- a handle (4) for keeping said brush (1) in horizontal position during the phases of the teeth cleaning;
- a small electric motor (5) for operating the shaft
(3) and therefore brush (1), following to the electric contact established, by means of the external switch ( 6 ) , with the incorporated battery
- an external functioning light (8), placed in series to the battery (7) - switch (6) - motor (5) circuit;
- an eventual protection structure (9) having the shape of a wedge with cylindrical surface, unremovable or fix, pivoted onto the end part (10) of the brush (1) and onto the central shaft (3), for preventing the irritation of the internal mucous of the user ' s mouth during the vertical brushing of the teeth.

A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the rotation of the central motor shaft (3) is determined by an internal spring (11), like a spiral spring or different, incorporated in the handle (4), loaded with a hand grip (12) and operated by the release system (13), provided on the surface of said handle.
3. A device according to claim 1, characterized in the rotation of said brush (1) for allowing the cleaning of the teeth from top to bottom and vice versa.
