Abstract

Un convertisseur de puissance en cascade à commutation synchronisée comprend un premier étage convertisseur de correction du facteur de puissance et un second étage convertisseur continu-continu pour générer une tension de sortie en réponse à une tension et un courant d'entrée. La tension de sortie (Vout) est commandée par un circuit qui mesure un niveau de courant dans le circuit, compare ce niveau à un niveau souhaité prédéterminé et développe une réponse ailleurs dans le circuit. La modulation du bord d'attaque du premier étage et la modulation du bord arrière du second étage s'effectuent pour assurer une commutation synchronisée entre les deux étages de puissance. On utilise un seul signal d'horloge de référence (CLK) pour commander simultanément les deux étages de puissance. On modifie le cycle de fonctionnement du premier étage en fonction de la tension d'entrée (Vin). Le cycle de fonctionnement du second étage est tenu d'une manière idéale à 50 %, mais va varier quand la tension d'entrée de cet étage varie. Un comparateur (128) est couplé au premier étage pour comparer une tension de sortie (Vout) à une valeur de seuil et empêcher le second étage de se mettre en route si la tension de sortie du premier étage est en dessous de la valeur de seuil.
