Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Präparieren von Hohlräumen in der Knochenspongiosa für die Aufnahme von Knochenimplantaten. Um ein Werkzeug zum Präparieren von Hohlräumen in der Knochenspongiosa für die Aufnahme von Knochenimplantaten zu schaffen, welches im Ergebnis dazu führt, daß später eingesetzte Implantate eine verbesserte Primärstabilität und damit im allgemeinen auch eine bessere Dauerhaltbarkeit haben, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß es ein vorzugsweise leicht konisches Gewindeteil (3) und einen Kopf (2) zum Drehen des Werkzeuges (1) aufweist, wobei die Hüllfläche des Gewindeteiles, insbesondere seine etwaige Konizität, die Form und Neigung der Gewindeflanken, die Übergangsradien zwischen benachbarten Gewindeflanken und die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Gewindeteiles (3) darauf abgestellt sind, das Wandmaterial des Knochenhohlraumes in erster Linie radial nach außen zu verdrängen und unter Einprägung der Gewindeform möglichst wenig Knochenmaterial abzutragen.
